If I could give this a zero star review, I would. We booked a $230.00 one night stay at this hotel because my significant other and I thought it would be a beautiful and rustic place to getaway for the weekend. We checked in and got to the hotel just fine, check in was easy and efficient. We went to the room and unpacked. By the time we had gotten settled in for the night my significant other (on her period) saw the water was brown and had sediment in it. It was 10:30 pm and we attempted to use the after hours number twice, to no avail. We figured we would just talk to the front office in the AM. I advised her to not only not shower, but to not use the ice machine or brush her teeth with the water. I was furious because we had plans to go hiking and other fun outdoor activities but due to her situation and being unable to shower in the room WE PAID FOR, we had to cancel those plans. We began to go through management to complain where we were told that this issue had been labeled as a cancellation refund and one would not be issued to us. She proceeded to call the hotel and speak to management and we were told nothing could be done. We paid over $230.00 on a holiday weekend to stay in this hotel and could not even brush our teeth and my significant other could not feel clean on a vacation. We are furious and disappointed that there is “nothing that can be don’t to rectify the issue”.

Horrible customer service from the ownership. I arrived on Friday night at 8:45 PM for check in. I was provided a key to the wrong room, leading me to try and get inside an occupied room. I then could not get in touch with anyone in customer service for over 30 minutes to find out if I had a place to stay or not even after multiple phone calls and voicemails leaving my family just sitting outside and waiting. The owners response to making this right was to offer 10% on my next stay rather than a refund of any kind.

Not worth the money! The only good thing is the location. The TV's did not work. They finally fixed the one in the LR the next day. The floor was dirty. The sinks in the bathroom clogged very quickly. The WiFi was terrible. We had no water in the kitchen on Sunday. One dirty washcloth in bathroom. Very old and outdated. Ceiling needed repairing in the bathroom. I expect more for the price. We stayed in the Davidson Suite above the main lobby. There are two suites upstairs. We had neighbors with 2 kids and it was like romper room at night. They took an old house and made two suites upstairs so it is like you are staying with the other people. We asked for some type of refund but have heard nothing from them. We will stay at the Getaway or the other newer hotel next time as they are a little more $$ but brand new.

Beds are comfortable, rooms are sufficient. They have single cup Keurig but the coffee's a bit harsh, might want to bring your own K cups if you don't like strong coffee. The location is excellent walking distance to restaurants and the shopping area. Short drive to The Blowing Rock
