Such a peaceful place. Try to visit anytime I'm in the city.

Quiet hidden corner in the busy heart of Chinatown. Noteworthy is the statue of the Buddha.

I did not actually talk with anyone while I was at the temple because we came after service yad already started. The atmosphere was very open and welcoming. There were many helpful signs, and I felt comfortable in the temple as an observer. I think it would have been a much different experience if i showed up prior to service and was able to interact with folks there more.
No. But, for a few dollars, they let me lit up a candle in their water fountain. Their contact number is 212. 925-8787. I didn't requested a prayer from them. Maybe they do have someone onsite to help you. The burning of canisters in front of the Temple I believe it's every Chinese New Year on February. (Please correct me if I am wrong) Just give them a call, it closes at 5:45p.m.

Yes they do..can't send you a picture..that's downtown Manhattan
They will close at the regular time. However, they will open early (6am) so people can do a prayer before going to work.
When I went it was as a visitor. I'm sure they would have a place for meditation. it's a great place to find peace, you feel it as soon as you enter. The visit is worth it. In every sense of the word..
