I like the overlook that Thacher Park has. From there you could see downtown Albany including the Empire State Plaza about 25 to 30 miles away like what this photo in the upper right hand corner. I came here with the group from Schenectady ARC on Wednesday, September 28.

Hadn't been in years, but remembered bringing my children and how spectacular it was (and it still is). Brought a friend who was visiting from out of town and they absolutely loved it! Want to go back in October to enjoy the fall foliage. I highly recommend it.

I did not, sorry. There was a party while we were there. And it looked like they used regular table clothes. But I would call the information center. Wish I could be more help.
Not sure but, you should try to see the falls water is going over good
There are trails for mountain biking. You may check the details with the site and maps given there.
While there is not a lake at Thacher Park, Thompson's Lake Campground of which is managed by Thacher Park. The lake is not solely owned by the park, there is only some beach access at the campground and nearby Nature Center.
Great place for dogs
No, but just west of the park is Thomson Lake State Campground.
