I like that you can drop off food at anytime in the bins at the loading dock.

Open to all Frederick County residents. Lots of people to help you pick out, bag up, and load up.

If you need the help, ask for help; that's why they are there. If you don't need the help, purchase a couple of extra items and donate to them.

Questions & Answers

Where can I drop off a food donation?

Food donations can be dropped off at the Frederick County Food Bank on Market St. 30-60 mins before each opening shift M-F. Donations are also accepted at the Rescue Misson inside the main building between 10am-3pm. The Glade Valley Food Bank in Walkersville is also accepting donations at their location. I believe they are accepting donations at the Recreation Center as well, but you will have to contact them directly for hours and directions.

Hi. Do you have to register to get food ?

You fill out a form with your name and address and number in household...then you get a number...then they call your number when it's your turn

A citizen dropped off a food donation at the Frederick Fire house consisting of 300 loaves of bread, bagels, etc. Is this something you would be interested in?

Yes, they do accept frozen veggies, as long as they're not have been opened or used .

If I already get food from the mission on South Street once a week, can I still get food here? I really need produce, dairy products, and meat - things that the mission rarely has, or only has poor quality or limited amounts.

You can come once a week whether you go to south street or not (I have done both before). But I think they will ask for some form of proof of family size/income. They Do have produce, dairy, and meat (on Wednesdays atleast).
