No. Apostilles are only valid in countries that participate in the 1961 Hague Convention. For non-participating countries, it is required to obtain apostilles at the state and federal levels before acquiring an attestation from the country of destination's embassy or consulate within the United States. American Apostille & Notary Services provides that service as well.
Services vary in price. What I need to know before providing a quote are answers to the following: 1. Where is the document originating from? 2. What type of document(s) is it? 3. What country is the document(s) needed for? 4. How fast does you need the apostille completed? 5. Upon completion, where do you need the apostilled document sent to?
No. Documents originating from the United States can only be authenticated by the Secretary of State's office of the state where the document originated, or by the US Department of State's office for federal documents. American Apostille & Notary Services facilitates the complex transaction.
An apostille is a form of authentication issued to documents for use in countries that participate in the Hague Convention of 1961, which is a list of countries that accept apostilles is provided by the US State Department.
