Good view and great service. Unfortunately that’s where the positive things end as far as Rim Rock is concerned. I asked for a rare ribeye and received a well done sauce monstrosity. Ribeye is a beautiful cut of meat on its own and if cooked properly only needs a dash of salt and pepper. This was very disappointing but not nearly as bad as my wife’s chicken… First of all, who charges $18.00 for a small chicken leg? Absolutely ridiculous. The chicken itself was so overcooked I had never seen anything like it! There was a quarter inch layer of inedible “meat crust” around the leg and the actual meat on the inside was similar to sand paper. And don’t try to tell me “they were probably busy” because we were the only ones in the restaurant when we ordered. You seriously have to try to cook something so disgusting. Fortunately for us, our amazing waiter Fabio took it back to the kitchen and had them grill us an all new piece but unfortunately by the time it got to us it we were already done eating. My last gripe was how insanely hot it was in the restaurant itself. By the time our waiter came to take our order I was sitting in a pool of my own sweat. All of the staff seemed to know about the problem and told me the owners refused to fix it. Word of advice to the owners, if you’re going to open a restaurant in the FR*CKEN DESERT air conditioning probably shouldn’t be on the bottom of your priorities. This place was the only eatery in all of Torrie that I truly had an unpleasant experience. I really hope the dining staff is paid well because Rim Rock is miserable and I couldn’t imagine going back let alone working there!

I wanted to choose the perfect place to eat for my birthday dinner. I chose The Rim Rock restaurant. We arrived and were promptly seated. The waiter took our order about 20 minutes later (yes I understand they are short staffed at this time). He brought out our soup which was tomato and artichoke. It was very good and it came with a dry roll that had no butter. Before I could eat my soup the meals were brought out. I ordered the chicken and it came with a small potato with sour cream on the side and no butter. At this point I am thinking this restaurant must be out of butter. The chicken was the size of my fist. I laughed after tasting it because it reminded me of that movie “Christmas Vacation” when the family tried to chew the overcooked turkey. This meal cost $30. Also I don’t recommend the margarita it only had a tinge of tequila made with margarita syrup and is served in a white wine glass. Our bill was $145 for four.

Fantastic service, incredible food, gorgeous views. As a mom of 6, I have to say that I REALLY appreciated the wonderful kid's menu. They were thrilled to be able to order such delicious sides as roasted butternut squash and baked potatoes. Well done!

We loved the food! Everything we ordered was amazing. We had spent the whole day outside hiking the hill sides, seeing the beauty that God created, and we were grateful to have such a wonderful place to finish the day. Plus, the service was as nice as could be. We will come back as soon as we are in town again.
