You would wish u were in jail. They restrict you from everything. No other facility has the same unpurposeful rules including jail and other halfway houses. U can't have coffee or snacks on the unit. U can't have dryer sheets. U need permission in advance to bring cosmetics in. You can't have Tylenol unless it's through medical.Even in jail you can or ur own Tylenol and Benadryl. These things are not restricted anywhere else including jail. They don't have any resources they expect you to. Get a job but can't provide any means of transportation.we can't see our family unless we have a job. This is not fare to anyone .they try to motivate you with misery
hope hahne
This place is definitely NOT a rehab facility. The staff were NOT qualified. Drug and alcohol usage was prevelqnt everyday. Any type of meeting, group or counseling session was ineffective. Not being able to get a job or go to school is unheard of if you wanted to further your your life. Staff had control and ego issues. No respect to those inside nor family. Worst place ever

I arrived here 2 months pregnant because I lost my home plan. I was not fed enough and I gave birth to a two week overdue baby weighing barely 6lbs. I was put on complete for going to file a restraining order against someone rather than to my job; "complete" means you are not allowed to leave the building for any reason, therefore I was essentially on non-Dr. Prescribed bedrest for seven weeks. Ms. Brown enjoyed threatening to send me back to jail simply because she could and telling me I'd have my baby there and it would be taken away. For a minimum of two months everyone was completely strip searched when they came into the building, or at random. That might mean 3 or 4 strip searches A DAY. Once I had a home plan no one cared to go check it out or do the paperwork and the only reason I got out in time to have my baby was because I faked going into labor. Within 24 hours DRC no longer wanted the liability and I got to go home. It was the best decision I've ever made, even if it was a lie. This place should be burned to the ground. It is not a rehab OR a halfway house. It's jail where you get to wear your own clothes. The staff play mind games with the patients and while I was there several of the male staff were happy to hook up with the female inmates. This is a horrible, horrible place and would not be fit for a kennel, let alone for human beings wanting to rebuild their lives. I don't believe in hell but if there is one, it's a comfort to know that Ms. Brown (et al) have earned themselves a place there.

Unprofessional. Unhelpful. Unnecessarily Rude. Imagine calling the front desk for information about business hours and protocols for communicating with your loved one, and instead being talked over, yelled at, berated, disrespected and hung up on by the person who is supposed to assist you or redirect your call, by someone who sounds like they have no receptionist experience; literally just a "Philly Jawn" on the phone. I would LOVE to get the man's name who works the desk after 5pm and report him 😌 I can only imagine what's happening to my brother behind closed doors, if THIS is just the ANSWERING SERVICE. I would love to see the state come into this building and do an audit. I just might give them a call if I encounter this issue again 🤔
