Our dmv and drivers license offices in Kansas City let us check in online or by cell phones to put us in the queue. They sent text saying when your turn was coming up and to head to the facility. Then when we got there we just had to wait till the last 4 digits of our phone number popped up. It was fabulous!!!!

You'll have to go down and take a rest in person. I was born and raised here, moved to Florida, got a Florida license. When I moved back I had to retake the test here when I moved back to Idaho to switch my license back to Idaho.

You should have received a confirmation email from the dmv. It will have a bar code and they will scan that even you arrive.

I recently tried to change my license from WA to ID and was advised about STAR. They said I have until next year to update to it.

It takes about a 1/2 an hour to 45 minutes even with an appointment. I would keep the appointment and see if you could be a little late for work perhaps

I would recommend it. You can go wait in line but it took me 2 ½ hours to get in on Sept 9th and a lot of people behind me didn't make it in before it closed.

It's usually take 2-3 weeks to receive your official driver's license. Since it's been a month, you should give them a call or you can check your driver's license status online on the Idaho DMV website.

The star itself is 15 dollars. The drivers license are normal prices but depends on how long you renew for. I renewed mine for 8 years, that was I believe about 60 bucks for the license and then the 15 bucks for the star. Then tax and a small mark up for using a credit card to pay instead of cash. So rounding up like 90 bucks for the whole thing for my example.

Itd's website has a good tool to check what you need. Simplified you'll need proof of identity like a birth cert, proof of SS #, and 2 forms of residency for your address. There's only certain documents accepted for each, so I'd definitely check the website

If you have to take the test more than 1 time, you'll find that no two tests are the same. However, there are practice tests online that will allow you to experience Every question possible.

It doesn't cost anything to change your address on your driving record. If you want your new address to show on your license, you need to purchase a duplicate for $15 or renew early. Do not forget to change your address on your vehicle registration as well.
