My little guy started going here in June for speech therapy. He was basically non verbal when he started. It’s now September and he knows over 50 signs and starting to say 20 ish words. He would not be where he is if it wasn’t for them. Everyone that has been working with my son is wonderful, supportive and caring! Great place to bring your kiddos if they need extra help with speech and OT!:)

This place is all about the money they can make. When you go for evaluation they try to up charge you. When you go for results again, they try to give you a package. We were told my kids need 4 times a week speech and 4 times a week ot but that we can’t do them same day. We’re then told (after hours on phone with ins) our ins wasn’t covering it (we switched from a different practice to here and have never had issues with out insurance)then one of the owners told us we had awful insurance and we should pay out of pocket for a new insurance. During the review we were told my 10 year old was a danger to himself. He is the most safety conscious person and was there to work on social skills. My kid had a fever when he woke up so I tried to cancel we were told we would owe more then our appt for a canceled appt cause it wasn’t 48 hours, we said we understand but isn’t there some exceptions. They told us no and my kid could come in to appt and wear a mask. We have had services for over 7 years and between two states and I have never felt like I was part of some sales pitch or money scheme as I did here. I don’t feel they have the child’s best interest. I would stay clear of this place.

So my first appointment was over a week ago , they had this meeting with me and my child and my husband with like 6 random adults in one room . Way to make a child feel comfortable and safe . Then took my kid to go play and stuff which you’re never allowed to watch might I add . Then before I ever even signed a form saying they can photograph her they had some guy filming my kid which she expressed she was very upset about on our ride home. I was told I would get a call within the week to go over the action plan for her therapy and tomorrow is suppose to be her first real session and I still haven’t heard a thing , I have called twice and “no one is able to come to the phone” also while my child did her therapy a lady named Michelle spoke to us about pricing on different plans (300-1700) that insurance doesn’t cover (odd right) she looked disgusted with me that I asked if they could apply their assistance plan to the best most expensive plan and was super rude that I couldn’t afford it so I asked to never have her in the same room as us again because of how embarrassed she made us feel . Needless to say , F this place . They don’t care about helping the kids .

I have been coming to Functionabilities since October of 2017 when my oldest son was 20 months old. We came to them initially because my son would not eat anything. If we ever forced him, he would throw up. We found out he has severe sensory processing disorder. Because we came to Functionabilities, they were able to help him in SO many facets. It helped him get over his fear of heights and his claustrophobia, he now has the social skills to introduce himself to people and make and keep friends! He is much more open to eating new foods and his strength and posture has improved drastically. I'm so thankful for all the people who work here, from the founders to the therapists to the office staff, they are all amazing! While my son still struggles, he has come such a long way. I have noted a HUGE difference since he attended their summer camp where he came 4 days a week for 4 hours a day. It's so true that the more they can come the faster results you'll see. I highly reccomend this facility to anyone who is worried about their child's behavior or speech or if they are developmentally delayed in any way. It is absolutely worth it!

We continue to try to become part of this network; however at this time we have not been able to do so. We do offer affordable discounts for families paying cash.
FUNctionabilities offers discounts for individuals without insurance. They are transparent and upfront about the costs and there will be costs anywhere you go that offers effective speech therapy.
