Pretty quite museum great for kids. There is a lot of pictures and boards with great info to learn from. When you walk in this place you feel as if you lived in their time back in the 1800 or so.

The submarine tour was awesome. The tour guide was so informative and humorous. Really enjoyed learning about the inner workings of the sub and imagining live on board. We even went up into the conning tower because it was just my wife and I

Good exhibits

It has the perfect balance of traditional and more modern museum exhibition- although nothing comes close to the Olympia. The man running the model-making club by the gift shop is a hoot - I spent an hour just talking to him.

How did this place look like when William Penn journeyed up the Delaware River first founded Philadelphia in 1682?
Could cover the museum itself in less than 2 hours. However, it's better to allocate another 2 hours to visit the nearby submarine and ship. The latter two are worth the time and effort
Hi Dante, our elevator is located on the first floor of the Museum.
From website: $2 ACCESS Cardholders on-site only with valid card and photo ID. Present your ACCESS/EBT card and receive admission for up to four family members at $2 each. Not valid for special events, festivals, programs or with any other offer or group discount
I believe it's opened everyday except for Christmas day.
If you park at the Hilton garage the museum front desk will "validate" your parking ticket for reduced-rate parking.
Everyone has to wear a mask and their is hand sanitizer everywhere. It was pretty empty when we went so I'm not sure if there capacity limits.
Yes
I believe so, all you have to do is pay a visit to the independence seaport museum of history and ask the clerk there. It's only $10.00 per person.
The ship, USS Olympia, is included with the “combo” museum entry ticket which costs $18 ($14 for children); the submarine, USS Becuna, requires an additional ticket and costs $10.
Not yet! Any and all updates for reopening will be posted on our website: phillyseaport.org and our social media channels.
The museum is handicap accessible (with an elevator to visit the 2nd floor as well as a ramp to board Schooner Diligence in the exhibit Patriots & Pirates). Cruiser Olympia and Submarine Becuna aren't handicap accessible. Both have steep steps visitors need to use to navigate.
Excellent
Best advice I can give is to come check for yourself or call them directly and speak to the archive department if such a thing exists.
Park in lot next to museum, take your ticket in and you get half off your parking on the entry fee
