Previously gave 5 stars, but recent experience was bad. Fixed half of the problem, then ghosted us. Our dryer was making loud noises. Peter did a house call, diagnosed the problem, and came by the next day to replace a part. So far so good. The metal-on-metal screeching stopped, but the dryer was still very loud. Peter heard it and acknowledged it was too loud but left without offering any other service. He had been paid for what he did and we were not unhappy at this point. Just wanted to fix the problem. I spoke to his secretary at least three times on separate occasions over the next few days. Each time, after repeating who I was and what the problem was, she told me she would ask Peter to call me. Nothing. Very disappointed and will no longer recommend, despite multiple positive interactions in the past.

I first went to Peter's in 2017 and got a great deal on a washer/dryer combo that we still use today. We didn't have a single problem with them and have recommended people go to Peter's for years. Our experience was great there the first time. However, my experience in 2022 was the complete opposite of this original experience. I called about getting a heating coil for the the dryer we got here originally. I gave the employee my model number and she said she would call me right back. I never got a call back whether or not they had the part in stock, so I decided to drive down there to get an answer in person. She was quite friendly and nice in person, but I was sold a part (no returns are accepted if you have any issues) for a different dryer, although she had the model number and said she checked it, which made the part useless to me. Originally, I thought I was just crazy and not smart enough to install the part. After a lot of Googling, I found out that she sold me a common part for other models, but one that DID NOT match my dryer. I called and asked for the right part and she told me it was my fault for getting the wrong part from her and that they don't accept any returns. I told her I just needed the right part exchanged and I would pay the difference and she insisted it was my fault, I ruined the part, and there was nothing she would do. I asked to speak to Peter and she said Peter doesn't talk to anyone for any reason. Then she hung up on me. I called again and asked for a remedy another time and asked her to check to see if the labeling was wrong or maybe the wrong part was in the bag. She repeated that this was not her fault and solely mine. I tried to schedule a visit with Peter and she would not send him to my house. I kept asking her until she said she would finally talk to Peter. She called me back later that day after speaking with Peter, finally admitted it was the wrong part, and said she would get the correct part for me the next day, with the expectation that I would buy the new part and there would be no exchange of goodwill here. I called the next day and there was no answer. I left a message. I called again the following day and there was no answer. I left another message. I waited a week and never got a call back. I tried again. I waited another week and never was called back. When I called the final time, there was no answer again. After waiting 3 weeks since the beginning of this saga and 2.5 weeks after the part was supposed to be in-house, I gave up and went elsewhere. Because this was such a terrible and frustrating experience with some of the worst customer experience I have ever seen anywhere, I will never recommend this store again. I try to support local companies like this, but this kind of experience is unacceptable. And if anyone needs part WE11X203, I still have one sitting in my garage that you can have for free because it's useless to me.

My experience with Peter's Appliance repair was very good. He had the part on his truck an was able to replace the compressor on my fridge that night !! He had been very busy that day and came about 6:30 pm that night. He is an independent business owner who I would rather support than a large commercial repair business ! I will use him again if i have any problems with my appliances !

It is my understanding that hey are interested in top quality brands that are high in demand that may need some repair.
