Not great for fishing but the lake is beautiful with a great trail. On my visit we saw a family of deer which was amazing.

This is a sun exposed hike. Its best to hike in the morning, or late afternoon. Parking can be challenging.

That was an awesome hike!! It's rough going on the way up but the view is incredible when you reach the lake! Clear water and fun to swim or fish in. Our group caught 15 fish while we were there!

Yes its a camping lake , and fires are allowed . There is a canyon fee of 6 dollars but worth it.
Hi Ye! When I hiked this last weekend we passed a solo female hiker with her dog. Snakes & other wildlife will always be something to be on the lookout for no matter where you hike in these mountains. In my year or so hiking all over the Wasatch I have yet to run into a snake or bear!
I believe the sign at the trail says 3.7 miles one way, but we didn't hike it so I'm not 100% sure!
