First, the doctors and staff are phenomenal. They identified the problem my dog was having immediately, when I have spent years and many visits elsewhere just treating symptoms. BUT they are way overbooked!!! I've always had to leave my dog and come back. I would get a thorough phone call from the doctor once he was done, though. I've never been in an exam room, have had to come back every single time; 30+ minute round trip. Even when it was just a nail trim appointment. And they're pricey. But, my dog is diagnosed properly!

They were so understanding and helpful, especially when my dog unexpectedly pooped on the floor.🤣 It happens there a lot but I was super embarrassed. They cleaned it right up. Also I took full advantage of my Optimum Wellness Program(OWP) membership and had a bill that should have been over $600 and only paid $40 because everything my dog needed was covered by my plan. So glad I took the plunge to sign up! Made for a painless checkup and shots visit.

My dog has very high anxiety when it comes to the vet. They know this but yet no one seems to want to read the chart. I get a different person every time and then I have to try and explain everything all over again explaining what will work and what doesn’t work. This last time top the cake! A new person, yet again, would not listen to what I had to say about how to help my dog as I’m trying to explain to him what he is telling me will not work. I asked to see the vet and I didn’t get to even talk to them to explain. My only option was to do what he said or cancel my plan and leave. Needless to say I left in tears with my dog. I will be canceling my plan and seeking a mobile vet. It’s not worth it if they won’t even consider what the owner of the pet has to say! Find a different vet. Plus as much as you pay for the plan…..it’s not worth it when it just covers preventative. You dish more money out then you get in services. I’m very disappointed and hurt.

Banfield Pet Hospital | Sep 27, 2020

You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?

Banfield Pet Hospital | Sep 27, 2020
Banfield Pet Hospital | Sep 27, 2020

Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
