Absolutely fabulous experience here. We came to SC to see our son graduate Drill Sgt. Academy at Ft. Jackson and since we were flying from Utah, we decided to make an adventure of it. For what ever reason, I confused my 50 year old self with a 20 year old version, and decided we (my wife and I) could take the redeye, arriving quite a bit before our room could possible be ready. My logic was we would simply grab a cab into town and hit a few local bars until then. Maybe in our 20's not not now. I stumbled in 5 hours before check in and asked the Generical Manager if there was any way they had a bed for us. I have to say he bent over backwards in an effort to get us into a room early. We were able to sit on the gorgeous back porch enjoying the scenery and talking to the staff. We stayed a total of 6 days. For the price, this place was AWESOME! I just cant say enough good things about our experience. The staff was friendly, engaging, helpful, very very courteous, and just down right a pleasure to interact with. They truly made a huge contribution to an awesome vacation. If I ever go back, I intend to stay here again. Bernard, you and your staff are fabulous! Thank you for everything! Paul

Omg, where do I start? Arrived at 2 30 and desk clerk said no rooms were ready. Okay, we went out for something to eat. Room was ready when we returned, so far so good. Room wasn't clean, finger prints on shower doors, toilet didn't flush. Back to front desk for a new room. 2nd room was better, mold in bathroom but we stayed positive. Breakfast was a disaster! No waffles, no eggs, no potatoes. No cream for coffee. No one working kitchen part. Front desk clerk came and we (several of us) were starting to look for silverware, cream etc in cupboards below. She quickly told us we were not to be in there but with attitude! Don't bother with this hotel.

A poor experience all the way around! Was not greeted on arrival by the front desk. Not told any information about the hotel, where the elevators were, what time breakfast was etc. I travel for work and stay at Fairfield Inn properties regularly. This one misses the mark by a mile. The hotel is in desperate need of updating, but that doesn't even account for the lack of customer service from the staff. We came down at 7:00 to eat and get on the road and were told that a hot breakfast would be ready at 7:30 by a woman at the front desk. No problem, I can wait for a little. So I went and fueled up and loaded up to leave, came back at 7:30, still no breakfast. Was at that time informed by someone else that the hot breakfast was a to-go sack! A little bit of explaining when I checked in, or from the other front desk worker would have gone a long way to ease my immediate frustration as I was traveling with my family and had 6 other mouths besides mine to feed! If you are not going to serve a hot breakfast, that's fine, just let me know when I check in so I am prepared! The gentleman at the front desk then proceeded to tell me that a to-go breakfast was Fairfield Inn policy and it was because of Covid. So I guess I haven't been eating the usual hotel breakfast that I have been enjoying every other week when I stay at other Fairfield Inns? I wish I was joking but blaming Covid was the icing on the cake for me :). In short, I should have listened to the reviews, they are accurate. This is not the usual Fairfield Inn experience that I am used to and would not consider staying here again.

I hope this stay improves. So far customer service is very rude. I'm assuming that Fairfield is better than this. This does not want me to come back. The rooms are clean enough. Hallways are good. It's just the customer service. But that's the first impression. When you walk into the door you expect to be greeted and pleasant atmosphere. You expect the employee to be helpful. I'm not sure if they're having a bad day but this is not good.
