Capt. Luke was very knowledgeable, funny and personable. We were able to have several dolphin encounters while out on the 1.5 hr cruise. If I’m the Charleston area I highly recommend this activity. It was a great way to start our day… BTW the recommendation on 167 Raw for lunch was spot on!

We had a great captain, whose enthusiasm and knowledge made our boat trip wonderful and so memorable. The sunset was perfect. This is not our first eco-tour and will not be our last.

Questions & Answers

If I was to book kayak fishing, do I have to go out with a guide?

Nathan Kaufmann | Jul 29, 2022
Charleston Outdoor Adventures | Jul 29, 2022

Hi Nathan- we offer guided kayak fishing excursions that include all gear (kayak, paddle, PFD, dry bag, rods and bait). We also offer unguided kayak rentals. If you choose a kayak rental you will need to bring any of your own fishing gear, and our staff will cover safety information and advise a route based on the conditions.

Hi Bradley, For a 4-hr kayak rental, the price for a single kayak is $27 plus tax. Tandems are $37 plus tax. For a guided 2-hr kayak ecotour, the price is $47/adult. Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.

Swim with dolphins?

Barbara Sterling | Sep 28, 2018
Charleston Outdoor Adventures | Sep 27, 2020

Hi Barbara! Thanks for reaching out. We offer eco tours where you have the chance to view wild dolphins from kayaks or motor boats. Dolphins are viewed at a safe distance from these vessels. Per the 1972 Marine Mammal Protection Act it is illegal to swim (feed, touch, interfere with) wild dolphins anywhere in the United States. So no, we do not allow swimming with dolphins.
