My wife and I had a magical ride with Schooner Pride! The late September evening was the perfect temperature and the sunset was glorious. Expect to motor out into the harbor, then watch as the sails are raised and enjoy where the wind takes you! We sailed right next to The Battery which was fun to see from the water. The ride gives you a new appreciation for all the British and other ships that attacked Charleston over the centuries. I suggest ordering a few drinks ahead of time, they're probably the best deal on alcohol you'll get on the whole peninsula. Don't forget to tip the staff, they're friendly and insightful and help make the experience fantastic.

The boat, crew, and experience itself was generally nice during the sunset sail on Sunday, August 28th. Unfortunately, there was a group of 3 people who were drunk and/or stoned who sat right next to me and ruined the overall experience. They were loud, boorish, using foul language loudly the whole trip, and were throwing wine across the deck. They apparently were friends of the crew so nothing was done to address their behavior. What would have been a nice experience was really ruined by them and memorable for all the wrong reasons.

My husband & I went 2 evenings ago for the sunset tour. Only had about 15 passengers which made it even better. Captain Jackson was great along with Darby & Erin (not sure of her name) very very very knowledgeable about the boat & was very nice. Enjoyed every minute.
