The distance is short my concern is if you are in a wheelchair if it'll fit in the door or be carried onto the boat I've seen parents with strollers I know it's not the same but it would seem possible for someone in a wheelchair to be on the boat. If you're not in a wheelchair walking short distance to the boat from the dock should be possible.

Buy a daily ($12 I recall)unlimited pass and you can use it as much as you want each day four points are the marina, the aircraft carrier, the Riverside Park and the aquarium. They're marked by red flags. Easy to spot them.
