Our first time to Charleston from Texas and we really enjoyed the carriage tour! It was a great way to start off our trip and we really enjoyed all of the information given. Shout out to our guide Zach and the magnificent Garth for taking such good care of us!

We had Layton as our guide and he was very informative and friendly. We took first tour of the day at 9:30 so weather was nice and not too hot. Thanks Old South!

We took both the carriage ride and the walking tour. Both were really great. The walking tour guide was so knowledgeable about history in Charleston as well as architecture. It was an amazing tour and the weather even cooperated! Our carriage tour was great too and the driver was also excellent! Thank you!

We had an excellent tour guide for our walking tour. Don was very knowledgeable and just a friendly and fun guy. We really enjoyed the tour.

Our combo tour includes both a historic walking and carriage tour around Charleston. The combination of these tours will give you both a broad overview and a more in depth look into Charleston’s fascinating history. It's also a great deal!
A restroom is available in our building at 2 Anson St. There will be no scheduled breaks during the 90-minute tour.
Reservations are not required, however, purchasing your ticket online in advance is highly recommended as our tours often sell out. By making a reservation, you can select the date and time of your preference and have your confirmation emailed directly to you. Our tours leave steadily throughout the day (every 15–20 minutes DST; 20–30 minutes EST).
You can purchase bottled water before or after your tour. We donate 25 cents of each bottled beverage sold to Water Missions International.
There are multiple parking garages and lots near the City Market. You can also park at the Visitor’s Center and ride the free Downtown Area Shuttle (DASH) to the Market. We recommend using the app, parkopedia, to find the closest and most convenient parking location in downtown Charleston.

We welcome dogs of all sizes if they’re well-behaved. Smaller pups may ride in your lap, and larger dogs can sit in the front row.
