So far its very nice. Lots of water things to do...big check in and store...rental boats etc. Premium RV slots are better as they are concrete...otherwise dirt. Friendly folks... Fun place! On the other side of the coin... beware if the ANTS they are every where and no matter how much you try...they are coming in. Everybody complained about them! Almost 3 weeks later and i am still killing them in my Class A motorhome. Not good... Trees and branches...very low and doesnt seem like they are cut very oftem...maintenence around the place needs a little boost... Bathhouse cleaning...seems lacking as well. After the big weekend party with many extra guests coming on site...they were not cleaned for days. This is the main spit to shower and clean up as the whole park has no sewer connections... Would i come back..hhmm... maybe but you better hit a premium site with concrete pad, be willing to deal with ants, and the dirty bathhouse!

I was told the 2 & 3 bed rooms cabins were around $100 - 125. That's from a relative that has stayed there a few times.
I believe he can rent a spot for you, but you will need a visitors pass that is obtained either at Redbank or Airbase visitors centers.
Yes
If a military or DoD rents a spot/or spots, of course the children get stay, so can the wife, and why not, that family sacrificed also.
Have seating villas but still bring chairs.
Military/military retired preference. Civil service allowed
Remodeling still on going from flood damage is what we were told
I do not know the answer to that question. I have only rented campsites. The friendly people at the reservation desk will be able to answer that for you
They offer rv and tent campsites, log cabins and townhouses You can find more info of you Google Short Stay Campground. It is a military campground. I believe their phone number is listed on their website
Yes they have coffee pots, toasters and pans to cook on stove top not pans for oven
No, it is for active or retired. But please call the office an they can confirm. They are open everyday.
Yes you will have to purchase a fishing license if you fish in Lake Moultrie. If you fish in the little pond in the campground you do not. Can't keep the fish though. The pond is catch and release.
They do have a small building next to campground that they rent for weddings and receptions. Have been using Short Stay since 1978.
You would need to call the office, not 100% sure but I believe if you cancel 30 days or more before the reservation, there is no charge, but afterwards I believe it's half of the reservation amount.
None that I'm aware of. There have been plenty of Dobermans and other be bully breeds seen there. However, that is only in the camping/camper section. Dogs are not allowed in the villas and cabins. Unless they changed it.
Was just there last weekend and other than check-in and store no restrictions. Bath houses and some cabins are again open. They have increased cleanings of common areas.
Everything is closed but the campground is open for camping
They are not. The campground is the only thing open.
I believe it is 21 and you have to have a license and military ID but call them and check
Yes
Call them up and ask! You can get reservations up to 90 days out.
Call them and ask! They are very friendly and will help you out! 843 761 8353
Call the office and ask
Yes you can as long as you have a military card you have full access. Great place.
Also depends on the reservations you want. I've been able to get cabins on short notice, but RV shoots do tend to fill up.
They are allowed on the campground on a leash or restricted in some manner. As far as I know they are not allowed in cabins, villa or buildings owned or operated by the campground
They have everything you need but food.
We paid in the off-season and during renovations about $60 to $75. Prices do change but if all the times I have been there it has always been much better than any nearby hotels
You have to have a military id or be a dod employee to rent a campsite at short stay.
No you would have to call office and ask them.
What about VA card?? Separated, non retired?
Yes, call jb charleston short stay and ask them for requirements and book 90 days out.
Yes, as long as your holding a military i d card.
You might want to call the office
To rent a villa or campsite you have to have a military ID. If you don't have a military ID they charge at the gate per person in vehicle & per watercraft.
