It's a typical Marriott, its pretty new, and pretty simple, has everything you need, yet the rooms felt a bit smaller than other residents in, front desk people where very nice and helpful, the best thing is the outdoor jacuzzi which we enjoyed even though it was a cold night. we did not use the outdoor pool as it was still closed due to winter. but I am sure it should be great as a other residence inn usually only have one pool versus this one has two so it's better if it's crowded

So we decided to go out to Riverhead for the weekend to enjoy the pool and hot tubs at this hotel. We have stayed at this property before and have enjoyed all the amenities. I am not one who usually complains but these issues need to be addressed. We have similar complaints about noise and the smell of marijuana on Friday night. The noise on second floor was over bearing. It seemed to go on all night. Then after midnight the fire alarm goes off with lights flashing and very loud alarm noises. I tried calling front desk, no answer. We evacuated like others. We had to leave hotel and sit in car. It was freezing outside. This is not how we were expecting our Friday night to go… Everyone on edge after that and no one slept well. Next day breakfast area crowded but ample food and no complaints. We went to use pool and hot tubs and the indoor hot tub was filled with soap suds ? Not sure what was going on as a woman on her cell phone and child were in it. Maybe the child dumped shampoo in hot tub. After this situation we went back to shower and I noticed the water was a rust color. I called front desk and they said they don’t know why the water was this color and that they just received another call about same issue. We were looking for a relaxing night out East and it ended up being a disaster. At checkout I asked to speak to a manager but there wasn’t one on duty.

Two starts because the hotel staff is courteous, and respectful. The kids enjoyed the pool We brought the kids here for the holiday weekend, but left the hotel a day sooner than scheduled. (In the middle of the night!) In general, very disappointed with the security of the hotel. They failed to keep the hotel confortable and safe for all guests. Security ignored the first fire alarm set off by people smoking pot in their room. The people were clearly having a party and were being very loud. An hour later, the entire hotel needed to be evacuated because smoke rose and the fire alarm went off. My kids were scared. My room smelled like pot. It wasn’t possible to get a good night sleep.

We stayed at the Marriott with our 2 small dogs last night. We came to the area to visit our child who is away at college. The hotel was perfect! It was very clean. Even though the place was sold out, it didn’t feel crowded or loud. We were able to get breakfast without difficulty. It was very reasonably priced. There are lots of food options nearby. The only thing that would make this pet-friendly hotel better would be a gated dog walk area, since the hotel is located on a busy highway. Overall, we look forward to staying here again the next time we visit our child.
