Hey Irene- most museums offer reciprocity for volunteers and employees of other museums. The issue with MOI is they're more of a for-profit organization. They are informational but as a matter of course. They're not likely to tell you that on the phone so I'd suggest going and showing them your credentials. The staff is nice enough so I don't think you'll have an issue. Pick a good time- it's small and class trips can be stressful for regular visitors. Have fun!

Strollers will fit but the space is small. There's no elevator so you'll have to bring it up one flight to get to the second floor to see some of the exhibits. There's also a few steps from the street to the front door.

when we went there the line was very long, so long in fact that it was on the opposite side of the street and still going. I heard the guy that was directing the line tell people whether you bought a ticket in advance or not you still have to get on the line.
I think buying a ticket early makes more sense but I am not sure if it matters when it comes to the line.

It says on their website that tickets expire after 2 weeks. That said, there is no advantage to buying tickets in advance. It's the same price at the door, and you still need to wait the same line and there's the potential for you to lose your money if your trip doesn't work out when originally planned

Nope. I mean there is a paid parking garage not far off, but not affiliated with them. Parking in the area is not the worst around 14th street compared to a lot of places depending on what time you're going. If you really think it may be an issue, I suggest taking the train cause the 14th st station on the A C E L is literally right next to it.
