I love museums. I brought my kids who are inexperienced museum-goers but loved the wonder room

On View May 18, 2018 – August 26, 2018 The annual Greater Columbus exhibition features work by outstanding artists based in central Ohio. The exhibition represents a partnership between the Columbus Museum of Art and the Greater Columbus Arts Council. On behalf of the Greater Columbus Arts Council, a jury of distinguished arts professionals working outside the region awarded Individual Artist Fellowships to Cody Heichel, Dareen Hussein, Luke Stettner, and Carmen Winant. Greater Columbusfeatures their work alongside two artists, Melinda Rosenberg and Carol Snyder, who were selected for residencies in Dresden, Germany as part of the Arts Council’s Artist Exchange Program. Working in various media, from ceramics and works on paper to sculptural installations, these artists represent a diverse range of practices fostered within the region’s artistic community. Greater Columbus continues to be presented in the expansive upstairs galleries of the Museum’s Margaret M. Walter Wing.
You're allowed to photograph at this Museum.
The restaurant is called Schokko Art Café
Even on Sunday, it isn't too crowded. While there'll be a lot of people around, I didn't feel that it detracted from the experience in any way. In the worst case, you might have to wait for someone to finish looking at a piece for a few moments.
Most defiantly. And the staff is extremely helpful with any needs you may have.
In the atrium. It is in the center of the museum. There is also a beautiful Dale Chihuly glass sculpture there.
There is a parking lot at the rear of the building. Costs $5, but if you make a purchase of at least that much at either the café or the gift shop you can have your parking validated.
Adults are $14, Seniors over 60 and Students over 18 are $8, students 5-17 are $5, and children under 5 are free. There is an additional $6 dollar charge for all special exhibits. Parking is $5. Sunday is free general admission, but the special exhibits are still $6. Also, Thursdays are donation admission, so you just pay what you can.
I am sorry I don't know who or what kind of yoga. For any specific questions please call the Columbus Museum of Art.
General admission (does not include special exhibitions) is free on Sundays. I don't think there is a rule for other days.
They have games and activities, but I didn't see any interactive exhibits. I HIGHLY recommend playing the game "Refugee Journeys" it was fun and VERY enlightening.
I don't believe so. You should be able to buy a ticket at the desk when you arrive.
No.
There is a gift shop. There are a lot of things in there from books to stationary to clothing and accessories. It is kind of expensive. You should bring at least $15 just in case.
On sundays, everything is free. Street meter parking is free.
Best bet is call them
Go to the website.
I would call...but the young chef Laura is working hard to offer delicious high quality foods ...I really treat myself when I go to CMA!!
Free with membership and on Sundays. Otherwuse, I believe it us $10.00.
Adults $14 Children $8
Five dollars. If you make a purchase at the museum store or cafe they will waive that fee. Or you can park along Broad street and walk there.
Yep! But I think the special exhibits and family activities make it worth the crowds!!
11am-2pm every Saturday. Open Studio is free after paying the price of general admission is open to everyone (children and grown ups alike)
The exhibits change so you might want to call the museum to ask.
Park at a meter on an adjacent street - there's almost always space available. From their website: General Admission Members • FREE Adults • $14 Seniors (60+) • $8 Students (18+) • $8 Students (6-17) • $5 Children (5 and under) • FREE Sundays • FREE Thursdays (5:00 PM – 9:00 PM) • Pay What You Want
From time to time during the summer, the museum will have open session workshops. But there is nothing like a targeted class for art making for adults. Most of their programming that involves Arts is more like Craft Time and geared towards primary school children.
