There are some pieces where photography is prohibited but other pieces where it is allowed, and once specific piece where it is actively encouraged.

Certain exhibits and spaces allow you to take pics. If unsure, you may ask the staff and typically there are signs that inform also.

Photographs were not discouraged in the displays I went to. I would understand the theater or specialized displays to be discouraged.
