It's a decent place to visit there are some really good items which could help put a smile on your face!I just caught the half off on everything sale saved over a hundread or so dollars easily with the loyal customer discount it saves too be loyal:)

There is sooooo much stuff here. And it's very well organized. I'm a thrift store buff and this place actually overwhelmed me, in a good way. I was not prepared. Lol. I'll have to come back another day when I have hours to dedicate. Great prices and checkout staff was very friendly. Just an fyi... They do charge 10¢/bag to put your stuff in and you can't take the carts out of the store so either bring your own shopping bags/boxes if you plan on buying lots of stuff, and trust me you will, or have a partner with you that can go bring the car around while you load all your treasures in. I most certainly will be back!

The lady at self check out was extremely rude and told us to get in line even tho WE WERE IN THE LINE. She said “there’s a line and those people were here before you” and the people behind us even told her that we were in front of them. She gave us major attitude for so reason.

I personally loved this thrift store they have so much amazing things for me everytime I go in here I walk out with so much amazing stuff and I’m so proud but my last experience was terrible prices have been going up ridiculously something not in good condition for 9.99 when you can pay for something like that new at a new store … I also realize that there’s self checkout like why??? In a thrift store this is ridiculously stupid there’s a huge line and the cashiers just want the customers to use the self check out they don’t ring for nothing and all the self checkouts are debit/credit besides one that only accepts cash!!!! It’s ridiculous how I have to wait in line almost 10 minutes for the customer that is using the only cash self check out to finish so then I can go … I understand self checkout is modern now in 2022 but it only works at fast environments like grocery’s stores or pharmacy not a thrift store that has long lines!!! there shouldn’t be a self checkout at this thrift store it just doesn’t work out & I’ve never seen a thift store with self checkout besides this one it’s ridiculous this doesn’t change me shopping here …I’ll continue to shop here because I like the clothing and merchandise but I won’t tolerate waiting in line 10-15minutes a cashier will have to ring me up Becuase there also there to do there job at 2nd Avenue employees!!!

No this is a for profit they purchase in bulk from non profits for dirt cheap rates and get glassware items free as a bonus then resale for very high marked up rates in addition to donations that they receive for free from store drop offs donation boxes and items picked up from peoples homes, theres nothing thrifty about 2nd Ave.

If you are interested in donating, you can drop off your items at GreenDrop located in the same parking lot as 2nd Ave at 13770 Smoketown Rd, Woodbridge, VA 22192. The drop off location is opened Monday through Sunday from 10am-5pm.

At first glance you can see how these staff work under great pressure, I think these people do not complain for fear of losing their jobs.
Mondays are the best days to go as they will likely have 5 sales colors as opposed to 3. Which increases your chances of finding a deal as the store has worked out a system where most merchandise will not be on a sale color. Also if its still offered they have a savings card where if you spend x amout of dollars youll get a reward for x amount of dollars but tracking the reward can become tricky...
