I called today to see if I could drop off a food donation. Normally I am told yes I can bring it or if not what day I can. Today however, the person who answered was very condescending with her tone "we don't take leftovers". Excuse me, as if! My husband and I frequently donate food items to this shelter and have never encountered anything like this. I am extremely offended by that and her comments that followed.

This Place is wonderful! I pulled in to their parking not knowing where I was. I was driving down rte. 1 with a bad headache. Pulled in to their parking lot and a young lady came out to check on me. I told her I had a headache and she gave me a bag of goodies. Some drinks and food. She was so nice and understanding. Thank you!

The shelter accepts donations for different food items. I would just call and ask what is needed. Most of the time local churches cook meals on Fridays. Im sure they will probably do a Thanksgiving meal the same way with local churches cooking the meal. You can call and ask to volunteer with what ever church will be providing the meal for that day. Hope this helps.

I've dropped off clothes last year, but recently they are asking to take donations to the Acts thrift store in Dumfries
It's a 30 day shelter you have to call coordinated entry and they will help you.
Call them and ask if they have a Spanish speaking person.
For one night only no, but you can do it at the winter shelter by PRTC buses.

They say you have 30 days to find a place but idk about if a child is running away from home. They may allow them to stay after they do their intake.
