What can I say I was flooded out by hurricane Sandy in a hotel for 6 months lost everything and was offered housing. Moving In the apartment was not right refrigerator didn't work lost food for months until I got a new one 8mnths later. Then the kitchen sink comes up from the drain & it not only floods my apartment but the into the neighbors apartments and down the hall as well. My neighbors have helped me clear the water not just water sewer & other people's laundry water. I was told they have had this problem for years from my now apartment. My son has lead in his system due to it in the walls & there are asbestos I a lot of the NYCHA buildings. If you don't have to move into one of these please don't.

NYCHA is a complete mess Raised in Patterson mom been grandfathered in. She’s over 80’s she went over a decade w/o heat & minimal repairs After 40 yrs I gave up talking with the unprofessionals they hired to work in their run down office’s. They have a terrible reputation so that lawyers don’t want to deal with them. I was compelled to take them to court another tedious & time consuming process Though I won the arbitration it took a cpl years And nothing was actually repaired to satisfactory. My final stop was small claims court but they have it set up where tenants can’t sue them immediately w/o going to 90 Church St New location to waste your precious time. However there is ways to get around it. Get free legal assistance don’t pay the rent (escrow) and now is negotiable. Now to make matters worse the workers in the rent office are harassing me & we infested with mice. May God Bless Us - All. No response from electronic complaints except that they received your message Do Know This I will continue my battle for my elderly mother and You all should be ashamed of Yourselves & not proud to work for a failed entity in place to help the unfortunate people. Rojas is the name you will never forget I’m coming for you with or w/o an attorney I will probably die fighting this injustice & trust me NYCHA wouldn’t care. As I had 3 silent heart attacks Yet NYCHA doesn’t believe working “in good faith” for I tried yet didn’t get any satisfaction. I be back!
