Contacted this number and left MULTIPLE messages. NO ONE has gotten back to me. Section 8 7 number isn’t accepting calls so who the hell we turn to!? No one on Nyc like to do their jobs and it shows and no one is reprimanding these people neither. I know better ppl working the corner more suitable with these jobs.

Death causes a LOT of problems, now your Mother can't answer questions and however she left housing business is how it stays!!! UNLESS,
Legal Aide or Adult Protective Services steps in to advise U and help U avoid eviction or homelessness.
ASK 1 of the 2 agencies just spoken of on WHAT steps to take to avoid eviction IF possible.
Your name should be ON the lease, that way, NO problem!!
I know. Fought 11 yrs and was kicked out because my name was NOT on the apt stockholder certificate. And the Will wasn't enough in court.

30% of Your Retirement Plan is not countwd, by HUD, until you ACTUALLY RECEIVE IT in a check or to your bank. Otherwise, ENJOY YOUR LIFE!!

If the husband comes on the lease yes if he moves in un authorized could cause a lot of problems for the wife and child such as eviction and loss of the hud subsidie.
I have PBV -project base voucher section 8 of HUD. if I moved out to new property which assept HUD too I could transfer My eligibility for PBV for new place

NO. Project-based means only the bldg U live in now.
Does the new place accept Section 8???
If so, apply for a separate certificate that can be used in ANY Sec 8 house.
But "project based is only for that building, cannot take rent reduction with U.
Can someone tell me how long after you are certified for NYCHA living in shelter until you are shown a place it’s been about 4 months since I received my certification

I was awarded HUD on March.Grearly appreciated. I am residing in an apartment on a one year lease. Is it possible to seek another apartment? Also is there a handbook on laws and rights according to HUD law. I feel it is mandatory to follow the rules

Talk to a housing lawyer it is illegal what she is doing. Gather all your receipts and take her to court.
