I wasn’t able to make it until close to 4:00pm, on a Friday. I had absolutely no problem getting my registration sticker. The wait time was about 15-20 minutes. Not crowded. Great customer service. Easy in and out.

I love waiting in a room of smelly people. Paying money to a disenchanted clerk for property I already own so I don’t incriminate myself. They make it so easy!

Went in today to register my car. (Around 11am on a Friday) The wait was less than 5 minutes and the lady who helped me was pleasant! The whole process barely took any time and I walked out with my plates and registration sticker in about 10 minutes! Great experience here.

For a vehicle registration you will need 4 things: 📬 Registration paper mailed to you (if lost you can use the license plate number and vin OR the previous years registration receipt) 👀👍 Report of inspection (if lost see link below for free copy) 💰Money for registration cost/fees (roughly $77 for 1 ton vehicle or less; registration link below provides other fees) 👌Insurance card You may also register online BEFORE the expiration date and 6 months AFTER the expiration date as long as there were no tickets 🚔 received for it being expired (you will need the license plate number and last 4 numbers of the VIN) here: https://renew.txdmv.gov/Renew/RegistrationRenewalServlet If you need a copy of a lost inspection report and have your VIN available, you may get a free copy (inspections done today are NOT available online until tomorrow) here: http://www.mytxcar.org/txcar_net/SearchVehicleTestHistory.aspx PLEASE NOTE: For links to work you must DISABLE your pop-up blocker
Yes
I got there at 7:45 and had 0 wait time. The people that got there at 8 had a 10 - 15 minute wait. I am guessing it is like everywhere else. The later you wait the longer the line gets. They only have 4 people working and each transaction takes 7 - 10 minutes.
State inspection needs to be done within a couple of months of going to renew plates and you will need proof of insurance. As far as cost it will vary on the vehicle but you can expect to pay $65-$85
Yes. They can help you out. Just make sure to have insurance and a recent inspection.
Dealership should do the necessary paperwork. However, I would go to the Mary and Jim Horn building to fill out a free form that you no longer own the vehicle. You will need the VIN.
Yes it's a walk in. I do advice getting there early
No you don't. When you walk in and pass the sheriff you will see a kiosk. Just put in your information. It will tell you which documents are required and print you a ticket. Take a seat and wait for your number to be called.
Yes they have a after hours drop box to the far left of the door

No, look for DPS office nearby, I believe they online accept people by appointment now. Last time I heard the wait time was 2 months
No you don't. You can walk in and take a number.
The best thing to do would be to call down, so you have all of the appropriate information ready! they to accept walk ins, I changed a title fairly quickly 2 year ago.
We simply pulled a number from the kiosk. No appointment was needed.
For cars or houses?
Might depend on what you need done, but I've never needed an appointment.
All i can say is call ahead and ask what will be required to complete the tasks you need.. I'm sure they will help get things done proper.. goodluck
No. This office is for vehicle registration and property tax. You want the DMV on loop 288 on the east side of Denton.
No that is not the place to change your license. There's a DMV on loop 288
No tag office
They do not
Yes they issue disabled plates and placards
No but you do need insurance snd cash
A death certificate should work to update it.
I went to the dps it's always busy so I would get dropped off by an Uber.
State issued ID is what I was told
I don't think you need it, you can even go online and renew your registration. Just need your plate number I believe.
The Denton County Jail only has video visits. Go to the services for prisoners found at the end of this web page to get that link and instructions: https://dentoncounty.com/Departments/Sheriff
18, or parents cosign

If you mean the address on your Texas Drivers License and/or State issued ID here is the link: https://txapps.texas.gov/tolapp/txdl/ This is to renew, replace, or change of address. As an FYI, it cost $25 for drivers license renewal (with or without change of address) and $16 for state ID renewal (with or without change of address). So if it's close to expiration time on those I would go ahead and renew them as well as change the address so that you do not pay for it twice. There are eligibility requirements before you are allowed to renew or change the address online. This information can be found at this link: http://www.dps.texas.gov/driverlicense/changes.htm You can also renew by phone in case you have no printer to print the temporary cards (those are good for 60 days from renewal date). 1-866-DL-RENEW (1-866-357-3639) If you mean changing the address on your vehicle license plate you will find all of this information here: https://renew.txdmv.gov/Renew/AddressChangeServlet
$29 and some change, CADH ONLY, and you can only extend it twice.
You can renew the registration using the license plate number and vin OR the previous years registration receipt. You can get the plate number and the VIN both from your inspection report which you also need to take with you anyway. If you have lost the inspection report and have the VIN you can get a free copy of the report at this link: http://www.mytxcar.org/txcar_net/SearchVehicleTestHistory.aspx Note: Inspections done today will NOT be available online until tomorrow PLEASE NOTE: For links to work you must DISABLE your pop-up blocker
You'll need to get the car inspected. Take the passing inspection report along with insurance card.
Wrong place dps its where hi renew license
Yes. This location is great! You check in at a kiosk and the wait is short.
