I called on a Tuesday to get my gas turned on. The customer service agent claimed it was on. Mind you, we just moved so we haven’t used any heat or the stove yet. It’s Friday now and we went to turn the stove on and the gas was still turned off. We tried to get ahold on NYSEG and they claimed we have to wait till Monday for them to show up. It’s almost October and getting very cold out and we are stuck with no heat. For our appointment on Monday they can show up anytime from 8am-4pm. Refused to give us a certain time and told us if we are not home when they get here they will not turn our gas on. Are they going to pay me to sit home all day Monday to wait on them? I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

Tried setting up final bill in to payments. Over the course of a month and a half I called and spoke to three people who supposedly set it up. after each time i received a new "final bill" and NOT the payment plan. Received a debt collection notice today a week after speaking with the last person about setting it up. Absolutely enraged at this point!!

Difficult to get in touch with, difficult to navigate website and phone line, oh and instead of listing their actual hours (only open Thursday and Monday!) on their website they have it taped to the door so you end up driving all the way out for nothing.

Prices have skyrocketed outrageously completely unprepared for power outages. The customers that are without power two to three hours or more should be credited with at least one month of service considering the loss of food and other damages.
