I moved to Valley Oaks Senior Apartments, Auburn, California in January 2022 because I was very impressed with the apartment manager, Melissa, when she informed me of a vacancy, and quickly answered all my questions with enthusiasm and positivity, and then worked with me daily to ensure a smooth transition from my current residence in Nevada. While living at Valley Oaks, Melissa will ensure the residents’ needs are met quickly to the best of her ability, along with her support administrative staff, Cristina, and her maintenance manager, Luis. The facility offers amenities, such as, a small library room with numerous books and videos, a television, a video player, a table and chairs. There are a couple of machine operated washers and dryers on-site, and an outside table and bench, and garden for the residents. There is also a large conference room for meetings and gatherings, and monthly or bi-monthly, Melissa and Christina would bring in a large amount of free bake goods. The downside of this facility is the train that runs several times daily, early mornings, evenings, and late nights, and is easily heard. Also, the city’s trash truck picks up the large trash bin very early and drops it which is very disturbing. The location of the building is near several main streets and a freeway, so the moving cars are easily heard. There is a bus stop across the building, and several churches and dog parks in the area. It’s also close to several grocery stores, and Target and Best Buy are nearby. So far, most residents are friendly, but most importantly, the friendliness and attentiveness of staff, and the close proximity to the nearby Outlet Malls and major name brand stores like Macys and Costco in Roseville and Rocklin. Would I recommend Valley Oaks Apartments, YES, I would definitely recommend Valley Oaks Apartments P.S. To ensure everyone is helped in an emergency, every apartment unit has an emergency pull cord that is connected to the fire department.

VOA takes good care of their residents and buildings. Everything is updated, upgraded and kept clean. Great place to live for us seniors!
