Unfortunately the change of ownership has taken its toll on this previously outstanding steakhouse. Not only was the steak not properly cooked (which, for those of you reading this review will know was almost unheard of with the previous owners), the service was a 2/10. Mark, the previous owner, would make it a point to visit every (or almost every) table and to strike up a genuine conversation - he somehow would remember names and prior events. This isn’t something that I expect every restaurant owner to be able to do but I’ll be damned if it isn’t something that is greatly missed. I wish this place and the new owners the very best but it is unlikely myself or my friends will be returning.

I was part of a large group that came in on 5/14/22. I couldn’t believe how ridiculous our experience was. I understand that taking care of a large group isn’t easy but Tammy the waitress and Julie the host were so bad at their job it was comical. Originally we were told that if we move the tables we just had to make sure we didn’t block the isle ways. Tammy was consistently rude and shouted at us “how are we supposed to serve you like this?” when we moved our tables, then went and told on us and Julie came in a scolded us like we were children. Keep in mind that both doorways and isles were completely clear. After this debacle, we were informed that they could not serve alcohol by Tammy as if we were supposed to know already. The food was overpriced and gross, the steak was tough and hard to chew. Then when we received our bills there was a 20% gratuity charge as if this place couldn’t be more of a joke. The one shinning spot about this experience was the younger waitress whom I don’t know the name of. She tried her hardest and was very pleasant. 0/10 DO NO RECOMMEND. Save your money and Do not go here.

We have been frequent customers here for years, but the food quality and preparation has definitely gone downhill since changing ownership. We were there a few days ago when they had turkey dinner on the menu. My turkey not only smelled bad but was overcooked, shredded and floating in gravy. It did not come in slices. It reminded me of what they used to serve in the school cafeteria. The server told me they sell a lot of it. It came with a peach cobbler for dessert and it was what can only be described as tough. Our server/waitress was great to us and attentive, so that was a plus. The bread is not as good as it used to be which the whole family used to love. My husband's steak was very overcooked for a medium steak. The vegetables also came out cold. It's a shame that this restaurant is not anything close to what it used to be. This is the second time in a month we've experienced overcooked food there.

What a great place! Fun, great waitresses great food! We ordered the famous Kahuna burger and split it between 3 people with a quarter of it left over! Fries that came with it were really good too. They had a really nice menu with a variety …

The biggest burger they have is the challenge burger I can't remember the name but it's 28$
Yes your gift card should still be valid. Yes we will be open on Jan 19th. Have a Happy Annivsary.
They got re_purchased by new wonderful owners n you can dine in!!....same menu...same staff....now daily specials like tacos n rice...stuffed peppers...stuffed potatoes...Mom n son own 3 restaurants....2 in Lansing! They're one of my fav. Places
Ken, they start take orders from 11-2, Monday through Wednesday at 789-8878. I have had to call back because it's busy a couple of times, but then I get through.
After speaking with someone who has worked there for a long time, she said that sometimes they have a hard time keeping cooks. The meat supply hasn't changed. I didn't speak to Mark Davidson personally about this, but he's a great guy and I'll continue taking my family there for very reasonable and good steaks.
Most dinner items are available at lunch. The baked potato isn't available until about 4pm.
They do
No, they are not. They close for a week or so around Christmas, they also close for about a week for July 4th.
Yes they do. But because it's such a great place to eat, a lot of people wanna make reservations to avoid the hour long wait at the door. So even with a reservation, there still might be a bit of a wait. But not as long. We've been there twice and were blown away each time. Great food and great prices.
I would say just call and ask. No I'm not sure if they're doing something for Veterans Day. But it might be a great suggestion for them 😉
Not Thanksgiving or Black friday .. but they are open the wed before for turkey dinner
Closed Sundays. Open Mon-Fri 11AM-9PM, Sat 4-9PM. Definitely worth a visit.
Theres are enough items to create a vegetarian meal. Hot or cold. There are veggie skewers w/rice. Baked potatoes add broccoli etc.
