Great! I was able to receive benefits within weeks of applying! I made under $1396 the first few months, yet in December I made a little over due to holiday hours and that’s when my account was flagged! After this happened my snap benefits went from $250 to $20. They requested that I send in all my paystubs and state that for the month of January would be a better representation of my household’s income moving forward. I haven’t made over the max amount ($1396) in two months and called the center to get an update on my account. Once I turned ALL requested information I was then told that my expense were going to determine if i could receive full benefits. (How can I save money while on the program if I need to raise my expenses in order to receive benefits?) I then was told by the case worker Shelly “You need to get that number out of your head” and that my income doesn’t matter. That I would have to add a shelter expense in order to receive benefits stating that I’m paying more than my actual income. She then informed me about the Best Program and Work Registration if I was to quit both of my jobs and they said the program would want you to work 30 hours or more. I then felt like she was talking in circles, then being told to reapply! Make sure you are aware of everything on your file and don let them tell you that there was a mistake on their end because they are not willing to fix it. She stated that I was eligible for $250 because there was no income on file the first few months of work. Yet when I made over the stated $1396 I was not allowed to receive them because I picked up extra hours for the holidays to be able to afford gifts for my family. I don’t recommend speaking with the representative Shelly, she is unhelpful and doesn’t want people on benefits. Not sure why she’s in the business. Joanna was assigned to my case and I’ve never gotten a call from her in regards to any of my issues.

I dont believe it would be intentional. They deal with difficult people all day long and maybe sometimes it just gets to them. They have always been pleasant to me
Not completely sure, of child seats requirements. Burleigh county would know more then me.
Talk to the people at the front desk. Sometimes they can get you in with someone right away if you have a few minutes to wait.
I believe so
No idea as of present
Dial ext 201 to talk to a receptionist that can best direct your call.
The receptionists can look up your file so just call or come in!
