My best friend was a Navy Veteran and passed away in 2018. The Military burial was held here and it was lovely. The grounds are beautiful and an honorable resting place for those who have served our Country.

While it's a solemn experience, I prefer to consider it a celebration of a life well lived. This is a beautifully landscaped, and tranquil oasis, to honor our armed forces, and loved ones.

Absolutely Beautiful and well taken care of...

So beautiful my father wanted to be with all his brothers. They did a great job with the flags for Memorial Day 😪

My father is interned in Palm Beach National Cemetery. The first person who passes name will be on the front of the Stone. The back of the stone will bear the other person's name. And cremation remains will be placed in their separate containers on top of each other buried. Not sure how they handle it with the mausoleum. They did have both options in ground burial of cremation remains in the mausoleum.
The spouses of the Vets can also be laid to rest there.
yes 365 days a year
No idea. Go on the web site for the south Florida national Veterans cemetary and there are a host of organizations that plant flowers, etc. Put Christmas wreaths, etc. Maybe this helps
Yes, the cemetery is open everyday durring the hours where there is sunlight. Closes everyday as soon as the sunlight goes away. There is 24/7/365 Security that manages opening and closing.
Do you provide cremation
Veterans, their spouses, and dependents can all be laid to rest here.
The cemetery is open to the public every day of the year from sunrise to sunset to allow you to visit your loved ones. The administration off is only open M-F 8-4:30.
Cremation is done through a funeral home of your choosing and at your cost, the urn is then brought to the cemetery for burial. The VA doesn’t cover the cost of a casket/cremation/urn, just the burial.
No they only supply headstone if buried or cremation a place for ashes.
I don't think that is an issue. But you would have to ask to make sure.
You would have to get flowers from a near by grocery store or flower shop
None
You should call the South Florida Cemetery. They are very helpful.
You can't go through them first. You will need to go through the funural home you choose. Make sure that you have the person's dd-form214 to give to the funural home and let them know that the person was a Vet and want to burry at the cemetery. Be prepared for a longer than average burial date. The funural parlor should take care of most paperwork and processing. The other thing is you can't reserve a spot if the person is still alive.
Could you possibly find out , or at least a photo of his remains before they were interred (the box) I saw that on your website, when you do you can contact me at gary. pollard89@gmail. com. I’m looking for some closure and I was robbed of that when my sister in law gave me the wrong date for his service.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request, at no charge to the applicant, a Government headstone or marker for the unmarked grave of any deceased eligible Veteran in any cemetery around the world, regardless of their date of death.
Was there last Tuesday and was able to go up to grave.and we put flowers and flag.
Yes
If she passes first they will create a headstone with her name on the back. When he passes, they remake the headstone and add him to the front
Yes. They keep them in bins along the outside of each section
On gravesites, yes. During a ceremony, on a casket, yes. So, yes.
Yes
Yes. Outside of office. Very easy to use.
Event starts at 10 a.m.
You can also park at Winfield Solutions.
There's a site locator by the main office that will tell you where your loved one is. Type in name and you'll get a quick response
By the main office there's a machine that you put the loved ones name in and it will tell you the section there in
Yes. 365 days of the year. What a beautiful place to honor our heros
Thanks for your service. There could be other qualifiers missing that have not been disclosed, so suggest visit to site and section noted below: https://www.cem.va.gov/cem/burial_benefits/eligible.asp g. Spouses and Dependents all the best
They are open sunrise to sunset, like a state park. I don't think you can visit after dark. Pretty sure they close the gates.
I can understand the rules of the cemetary about flowers, trinkets, etc. But I dont understand why a simple American Flag can't be left next to a stone all the time? Any answers?
Usually guests bring there own to the site. I haven't heard of any florists doing this. Usually flowers are of a bouquet style. Check with the desk when you visit next. I'll have to check myself , great question
Can something small be fixed (glued) to the headstone?

They usually do for the holidays!
If the spouse of a Veteran is found eligible for interment, there is no cost involved based off of the Veterans earned benefit. This includes the opening, closing of the gravesite, marble headstone or niche cover and the perpetual care of the grounds and facilities. Any other costs incurred with a funeral home or crematory takes place prior to interment at those respective locations.
U will or your estate will need your dd214 give that to the funeral home
Call them they are very helpful
Unfortunately, No dogs are allowed. There is 24/7/365 security. They are friendly, understanding and linient, but just don't push it. It's simply not the right place for pets.
Grounds open until night.
They'll have them in place already!
Plenty of space available.
Like they said above: There is a self-serve plot lookup computer outside the main building that is available anytime the cemetery is open.
You can either call or visit. There is an self-serve automated lookup system on the outside of the main building you can use to lookup by name.
As long as the sun is up, the cemetery is open. Beautiful place and a wonderful tribute to those who served.
only the office is closed. Office Hours: Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Closed federal holidays. Visitation Hours: Open daily from sunrise to sunset
