If the spouse of a Veteran is found eligible for interment, there is no cost involved based off of the Veterans earned benefit. This includes the opening, closing of the gravesite, marble headstone or niche cover and the perpetual care of the grounds and facilities. Any other costs incurred with a funeral home or crematory takes place prior to interment at those respective locations.
