Rooms and hotel amenities were nice but there was a smokey smell lingering in both the rooms we got. Would definitely choose somewhere else if you have a sensitive nose. Great distance to the grand canyon but I'd pick another spot if you can find one.

We got bumped here from a park lodge but it turned out to be a great place to stay. Convenient to the park (and the park shuttle when it runs). Comfortable rooms, nice pool. Wagon Wheel has great food. Lots of stuff, including good ice cream, in walking distance. Super knowledgeable staff who gave us great info about the park.

The facility is adequate, but feels dated. It does not include and breakfast, probably because they have an expensive restaurant (e.g., $16 breakfast burrito). Room was decent, but has multiple lights that either flicker badly or have a bulb that only sometimes works. The indoor hot tub is nice. Their outdoor pool and hot tub are not open. I realize it doesn't get as hot here as Phoenix, but we had no advance warning that the pool and tub would be unavailable. On our 3rd day here they have still not stopped by to "refresh" our room, despite putting out the card to explicitly request it. Interesting room design with a back door into a common area (with hot tub and meeting/eating area). As well as 2 sinks, one in the room's entry, and one on the bathroom. But they only have a (built-in) hair dryer at the entry sink, and only provide one small bar of soap to share between the two sinks and shower (unless you prefer the liquid body wash). Front desk folks and concierge were friendly and helpful.

Upon entering the building we were greeted by Steven ( who was great ). The concerns unravel when we actually checked into our direct room. The walls were messy , hairs in the bath tub ,blood like stains on the walls and very dirty mirror ( look liked someone sneezed on it) , the sheets had dirt marks on them , wrappers on the floor , not to mention the dirt pile of dust on the table that was sticky. There was kick marks on the doors as well. We spoke with maintenance and requested fresh bedding which was handed. However after going back up stairs when we changed the sheets due to them being dirty there was blood on the supposed new clean sheets!! That is not okay under any circumstances. At this point we were very upset and spoke with the general manager by the name Chris who was very un - professional and disrespectful. During the conversation when we spoke about the blood on the sheets , Chris mention it’s “possible due to the maintenance is not wearing gloves and may have cracks on there hands which may cause the blood on the sheets .” Which is very alarming and we did mention that is worrying some and then he proceeds to state “ it’s not like females are having periods on the sheets.” For context my partner and I were staying in the room and we are both biologically females! To which I state that is inappropriate to state at all and later Chris asked where we are from, my partners home state is Minnesota. Chris mentioned some people / maybe relatives were in St. Paul Minnesota, and he called my partner a liar about the weather that was happening at the time was not similar to Minnesota. I found that extremely disrespectful to claim My partner wouldn’t know their hometowns own weather seasons. Chris from here mention only doing a 20% discount not only for us to clean our room which did not help for the discomfort we experienced at this location. We will not be coming back here again. As a side note from my partner ~ Minnesota has extreme changes in weather patterns from going to blizzards to light snow to ice roads, negatives to 0 degrees to 20s , 30s and etc for me to state it was similar it truly was.
