The room was spacious and average. Reading other reviews I was worried there would be bugs or mold, but we didn't see any of that. It's definitely in need of some updating but did the job and was close to downtown Lexington, without the hefty pricetag of the historic hotels downtown. We knew the pool was closed for "construction" ahead of time, and had to sign a waiver when we arrived saying we knew it was closed. Nothing looks like it was under construction however. The pools still contained water and the pool room was in order. It seems more likely they didn't have the staff or proper permits to provide the upkeep and operation. The bed was a bit too soft for my liking but we still slept well. Bed was clean and the bathroom was decent. One towel seemed to have been covered in sand or something. After using it, I needed to re-shower to rinse off whatever sandy/gritty stuff was on me. That was weird. But it was only one towel, the others were ok. Breakfast was a disappointment. They claim a hot breakfast, and the only hot option was eggs. Not great for someone with an egg allergy. Everything else was bagels and toast, cold cereal but no milk. Also, ladies- bring you own hairdryer! The one in our room forced out about as much air as a toddler with pneumonia and sounded like an aircraft carrier about to take off. Loud with no power. For those of us who aren't too picky with hotels- it did the job. No bugs, comfy bed, decent location. Oh, and also- their rear door did not lock! We noticed it was just open to whomever wandered off the streets! Yikes!

Very friendly at the front desk arrived late at night they were assume assistanting us the best the could. Breakfast was great enjoy taking with others finding out where they are from. The room was very spacious and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and pillows was great. The bathroom was clean and spacious also. The staff was friendly and helpful our stay. Will stay again.

The rooms were awful. We had to be moved because of black mold in the wall and floor of our room, then when I went to make coffee, the coffee pot hadn't been clean for sometime. It was full of cakes mold and nastinessπ€’ However, the plus side is that the view was breaking from our rooms.

Do not stay here. There are MICE! We stayed two nights. Arrived pretty late and got assigned a room that seemed like it hadn't been cleaned well (coffee splatter on the counter, dust on many surfaces). Inspected the sheets, which all appeared clean enough, and it was late, so we figured we'd just go to sleep. The next morning my partner said she thought she had felt something touch her feet in the morning. Upon inspecting the sheets, we saw clear small mouse droppings on the white sheets. We packed up, and asked to be moved to another room. We informed the clerk (Amy) of the rodent issue, and she had the audacity to laugh it off and make a joke about how "the mice come in when it's cold out". The second room wasn't much better (but no mice, we think). On check out, I asked the same clerk for a refund of the first night, due to the issues above. She told me she would tell the manager and I would get a call. I'm still waiting for it.

Yes. When I stayed there I saw a couple walking their dog in a "dog waste area."
