Junction Dog Lake Trail

Great hike. It's a little steep at the start so hiking sticks would be helpful. There are a few places that you will need to navigate around rocky terrain on the trail but most people will not have too much difficulty. Children as young as 4 were hiking the distance to Mary's Lake and back. There are lots of places to get shade as well as sit on flat rocks around the lake or trail without feeling overly crowded.

Dog Lake is a very short detour on your way to Lake Mary. Worth a look, everywhere up this way is beautiful.

Moderate hike with great alpine scenery. Improved lower trail that ascends ⅓ of the way. Mary's Lake was the final destination were we enjoyed fishing for raindow and brook trout.
