I love this place! Fantastic dog park too! Miles and miles of paved and off road trails! The dog park is always so fun! So many wonderful dogs and people. Please make sure if your dog doesn't do well with other dogs running up to them, leash or stay home. This is an unfenced open and trail area for unleashed dogs. The other areas are great for walking running biking and dogs must be leashed. Travel next to river, ponds, woods.

A great place to hike, bike, or kayak. Miles of paved walking/biking paths, and great access to the river and slough. A covered picnic area with waste disposal, fire pits, and power. A nicely groomed dog park, and a children's play area. 1,200 acres in a beautiful waterfront location.

Great park for the whole family and our furry friends to visit. The dog park provides a large field where they can run and play with their friends. Dog water fountain, and portable potties available on site.

Love this place for cycling! It is most lovely in fall but lots of shaded trails on a warm day too. Hikers with dogs please take care on hot asphalt with your pets on hot days!

Just to add to the correct answer about no permit needed, there are no overnight stays allowed at Minto-Brown Island.
There's porty potties in several areas, by parking lots and a few on the trails
Stephanie Hammer That is a good question, however, I have never seen an abandoned building in Minto Brown Park. I will explore this further...
Absolutely not. I've grown up walking the trails in this park and I want my kids to grow up exploring this park as well. Low income housing can find itself elsewhere. Not the few remaining nature parks we dont have.
I've seen people fish here and there off the dock, bridges etc. Not sure how good the fishing is but there are some fish, I heard. It is most likely that you'll be luckier fishing the Willamette right off the walking trail.
You can launch your kayak at the riverfront park and kayak into minto
There is at least one, that is not always available, due to habitat restrictions.
I've gone fishing here at 12am and 3am I have never seen them lock the gate its mainly for a safety issue due to wild life and risk of drowning at night in the willamette. There is also a chance to get lost I have walked with my cousin along the river that we weren't in the park anymore and had to climb through the wild BlackBerry bushes.
No. Park is open from Sunrise to Sunset. If you Google search "tent camping in salem oregon" you'll find some results. Hope this helps.
Dogs are only allowed off leash in the one large field

Yes. Parking lot 4.
Probably river front park
Yup! There is plenty of space at the farthest parking lot
I wouldn't use the docks or ponds the water is dirty and they are well fished with lots of lost hooks and line. If you park facing the bathrooms at parking lot 4 go to the right trail. Follow the trail until you come across where you can turn left on a dirt trail with a metal pipe in the ground keep going until you see the sign on the right with a small dirt path climb down and you will be at a beach like area where people swim a lot with out much fishing.
Mission Park has a nice frisbee golf course
Yes in one of the parking lots there is a couple of porta-pottys
As far as I know they do have some picnic areas. I do not believe briquettes are allowed but a propane stove should be ok I believe. As long as you can immediately extinguish the fire it should be ok.
Paved paths yes, if its a dirt or bark dust path no
