Recently moved from out of state and by FAR this is the worst DMV experience ever. I had to come 3 times, waiting over 3 hours just get a new license. The line was so long elderly people who cant stand long having to leave is ridiculous. This location only had 4 people serving hundreds of people is unacceptable! With a requirement to licensing in 60 days and 3&4 hour waits plus appointments going 3 months out is NOT customer service friendly or sustainable is undue hardship for the employees and citizens The state needs to adopt what other states do that is quicker and more efficient or someone should take legal action to improve their process. Do Better NC!

I've been getting bull from them about My title for Over 6 months now and she tells me today to give it another two weeks. They are holding up my freaking business and I've paid My money and still don't have My title. I'm calling the News.
Consuela
They have too many people working not to be more organized. Also grown people need to learn how to speak and have an intelligent conversation with another grown person, especially if that's your job. It's ridiculous how the officer and workers talk to people like they dirt, how would they feel if someone spoke and thought the same of them!!! SMH

Just drop the plates in large box located at main entrance 24/7
They can’t be fired just like most Other government employees. The DMV employees ALL have a power trip montra. It’s a JOB to them. Nobody wants to fix problems or help people...they Just get off on seeing people frustrated and having to come back 3-4 times and wait in their 2 hour lines.
If going to the main DMV on Newbern ave make sure you have all your paperwork in order. It will make things much smoother. If going to the licence agency on avent ferry rd get their when they open of not you can be there for hours. Some online services you may want to take advantage of.
You have to go to Dmv in Raleigh. I never done it on line.
Check the website.
They take walk-ins from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. I suggest getting there an hour early and stand on the sidewalk to secure your spot in line. I got there 45 minutes early and I was standing behind 15 to 20 people and I got through the doors just before 9:30 a.m. and I was out of the building by 10 a.m. Be Mindful.. the people behind you may have appointments and will be moved to the front of the line frequently.
You do not have to send your inspection. The station you went to automatically uploads your inspection into the DMV system.
its normally walk-ins anyway but not sure about hours tomorrow
Birth Certificate and Social Security Card should work... two forms of identification
Yes last I heard. Was closed til Monday morning.
You should probably check online. They have a pretty decent website. Much easier and quicker. Since Covid they've made it easier for most matters such as yours. Worth a try or look into anyhow. Compared to the drive and wait time of going there. Hope this helps.
Carry over in the South Hills Shopping Center also there is one over by North Carolina State University also don't forget about the D M V off of Atlantic Avenue
Call the county courthouse that the ticket was issued in and they should be able to assist you.
I got to say NC is just slightly below that of Central NY.
yes
There is no word at this time when the offices will restart drivers tests (road).
I don't know, they are usually pretty busy assisting people face to face. But Wednesday may be a good day to call.
You should call them first, they are very good at answering the phone. I don't think this is something you can do online.
Im not sure, you should call them, they are pretty good at answering the phone.
no
Take your driver's license as proof of who you are
yes
Anytime I have had a ticket I am told a price when I go into the lawyer's office and that includes everything I have never and I mean never had to pay a separate court cost after paying an attorney. I have had many tickets and I have always hired an attorney to get out of them going back to the 1980s and I am currently paying fines for tickets now so that's kind of an unusual situation I think. I would call up to the court or to the magistrate's office and ask them if they can help you or if they know someone that can. Please just call and ask they usually can help you in some way. Lawyers just like politicians do not live in the same world that we do. They do not consider how one or two hundred dollars can completely overwhelm you and break the bank. I hope all works out for you
You need to visit the DMV in person for this matter
You could always Goggle it or look at there website
Never heard of that either. Had to be a scam. Definitely
No
Yes
Any hotel near the DMV is not in a good area. You may want to stay downtown.
Yes but they hold it for 15 days and than release it.
Yes
Well easiest way is to find someone that trust you & see if they will notarize it being that he had already signed it.
Which office in the state?
How much is renewal for your licence?
You need to contact the town of Pittsboro for business license zoning and inspection not the Raleigh DMV.
I don't know about the afraid part but the rest sounds about right. Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, and Energy/Power bill to show residency. I would recommend using a Driver's License Agency, one in Garner, Clayton, Cary etc,to my knowledge the New Bern location does tags and titles, not Drivers Licenses. I could be wrong but things changed when DMV workers were "let go" and the state started using contract workers that know little to none about DMV matters. Be prepared for a long, long wait to find out you need to go to another location. My advice is to call first, I prefer my answers straight from the source, not public opinion.
You can call or do it on line and it should be free!!
Go to the local PD or Hwy. Patrol, (dept. that investigated) for written report.
GO TO THE DMV OFFICE ON NEW BERN AVENUE
