I was stationed for in August of 2020 and ever since I hated this place. Its far from anything, so getting a car is a must. The barracks are condemned and yet our Command at MALS-14 doesn't care to do anything about our horrible living conditions and the roads and infrastructure is crumbling. I should've just denied orders coming here. This place is just a horrible place for single enlisted.

28 yrs ago married life started here at Cherry Point Marine Corps. 28 yrs later i can't believe how much Havelock,NC has changed but than again hasn't changed. Ohh my gosh soooo many memories.

Look for B&B in new bern nc. Hotels no good ones in havelock ask him about staying on base at the cherry poi t inn or the devil dog in. You can get a pass to drive in and out for your stay
