I was stationed here in 2001- 2003 had a fun time, but I sure don't miss it. Other than whats on base there is not much to do out there. I was in the weapons department. The Blue Angles are a must see.

I was stationed here in the good old days of 2007-2009. Never partied harder in my life. Shout-out to Havlik, Flores, Brown, Korb, Nguyen, Karcher, Richetta, Hunter, etc..

Blue Angels
It's a training base. In addition it's the winter training base for the Blue Angels demo team
Just off the airstrip on the base. But you can see them in the sky outside the base too.
Still an active base with full commissary, exchange, MWR, galley and berthing to include a Navy Lodge, Gateway Inn & RV park.
Show up real early to the event. Line of cars form up as early as 6 am. They let in exactly at 9am sometimes earlier.
