Process was smooth but the wait time is so long..
Tina Colborn
Long wait time! But the ladies were very nice .

Great, fast! It helps to get a number and short wait.

This location actually provides title services, you bring the required documents (previous title filled with the information of the new owner, and application for new title notarized), pay a fee of ~$20 and they handle the process for you. It takes about a week to get it done.

To get plates on your vehicle for the first time in Ohio, you will need to present your Ohio Title or Memorandum Title and your Ohio driver’s license. If you have an out of state driver’s license, you will also need your social security card. We will not need a bill of sale or proof of insurance. Thank you!
I paid with a debit card.
We cannot take appointments, but you can “get in line online” at www.ohioBMV.gov. This reserves your spot in line for 4 hours. It will tell you an average wait time, but please know that this average is inaccurate as to how long people actually wait in line, it does not calculate from the point of check in. Our wait times for driver’s licenses at this agency can easily get up to 2-2.5 hours due the the length of each transaction. For this reason, wait for at least 2 hours after you check in online, no matter what the website says the average time is, and this will ensure that your spot in line is 2 hours closer to the front of the line when you arrive.
You can check- in online the day of her appointment, but otherwise no advance reservations seem to be an option
All Testing is completed at Ohio Exam stations. The location for licking county is in Newark. Exam Stations in Ohio are closed on Mondays
We always have notaries on staff. But we do not process titles on site. Titles are processed by the county clerk of courts Auto Title offices. We can assist with your title work through our title service. It takes approximately a week for us to complete it with the title office and there is a service fee. We can accept cash or check for this service. You can also contact the auto title division yourself and schedule an appointment with them to complete your title work. Their phone number is 614-525-3090
$55-$68 unless you have a Hybrid or Electric vehicle
Morse rd
Can't do that at a neighborhood license bureau. Must contact the main BMV on Kimberly Parkway.
Birth certificate Ssn Columbus address proofs
Call them. They will be helpful.
I have always gotten full and helpful answers by asking the staff. If there is a line someone will come out and be sure you have proper documents in hand.
Google it I don't know the phone number.
I would contact DMV and have them put a stop to that and you're going to have to go in with your birth certificate and anything else that has your name and picture on it. I know it's called bmd but in Las Vegas it's called DMV good luck been there.
You can log in online and then it'll give you a place I believe when you get there
I would bring one just in case you never know things change so much
Mine took a little over three weeks. Maybe four.
Go to Bmv.ohio.gov, and you'll see a link to check in online
Contact the State of Ohio BMV’s main line for possible alternative options. (844) 644-6268
It depends 6 mths old proof of citizenship ,social security card, and proof of address. 10 to 19 dollars
If you are under 18 yrs old
Yea you can use your state to get tags if the car is registered in your name..
No.
Yep
You should bring the title if the vehicle registration has been expired over a year. When this happens, the BMV system assumes the vehicle has been sold and the registration and plate number is purged. Sometimes we can find the old information in order to replace the vehicle, but sometimes we need the title in order to get the vehicle back in the BMV system. If there is 2 owners, only one owner needs to be present with their Ohio identification, but they should also know the other owner’s ohio driver’s license number or social security number in case we can not locate the old expired registration information.
We do not take appointments but you can check in online and this holds your spot for 4 hours. I recommend waiting at least 2 hours before arriving no matter what the average wait time online says. The average wait time online only calculates the wait time in office, not the wait time from time of check in, so this does not account for the wait time that people wait at home. This significantly drags down the “average” that it states. The average wait time from time of check in is more like 2 hours with how busy all the BMV offices have been lately.
Yes have nice stuff
I'm sorry you need to contact them
Go to bmv on Morse road. They have all solutions for you
Online for a saved spot only. There still can be a wait when you arrive. I saw several who had to wait 20 to 30 minutes that had checked in online. Patience is a virtue right now.
You cannot schedule an appointment but you can “get in line online.” Then you can wait in line at your own home or elsewhere. You can get a number from home at bmv.ohio.gov, your spot in line is then saved for 4 hours. It is important to utilize the waiting at home feature. If you get in line online and then come to the agency right away, you will then wait the remainder of your wait time at the agency. If you wait 2 hours before you come in, your spot in line will be much closer to the front of the line, if not at the very front of the line, and when you activate your number at the agency, you will spend much less time waiting at the location. Our wait time at Kenny Road averages 1.5-2 hours daily, occasionally 2.5 hours. The system calculates an average wait time for the entire day, and texts you a calculation, but this is sometimes inaccurate because it cannot account for the people who have waited outside for an hour or more before we open the doors in the morning.
No appointments needed. You can check-in online to get in line
Registering your vehicle and getting plates is a combined process that can be done at at Deputy Registrar/License Agency/Local BMV
No.. you have to go to Hilliard for that
Yes, normal hours that day
You have to visit an exam station first to take the test, but you can pay and apply for the temporary permit ID card at our location. The 3 exam stations in franklin county are on Morse Road, Cemetery Rd and Alum Creek Dr. They are located right along side the BMV/Deputy Registrar office’s. And I do believe out of those 3, only the Cemetery Road office is open on Mondays
Take in your out of state VALID drivers license, proof of name dob and legal presence( if us citizen birth certificate, if any name change(s) documents to prove the names, or us passport) proof of ss#(ie ss card w2 or 1099) and 2 different forms of proof of Ohio address(bill, bank statement)
show up 5 or ten mins before they open. there might be a handfull of people ahead of you in line waiting for the doora to open but you will be in and out pretty quick. its been under 10 mins for me both times.
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Unfortunately, I don't think this location can transfer a title. The Morse Rd location would be the next place I would try. Good luck, i hope you are able to get things taken care of smoothly.
I just talked with them and they said that unfortunately everything is walk in, no appointments can be made. You can get online and fill out a POA form and have someone come in on your behalf.
Call me
Yes, bring new title, ins & id
