The Amberleigh

Myself along with my parents toured Amberleigh this past Saturday and we were greeted by everyone with a smile. Justin our tour guide was patient and very knowledgeable of the Independent Living Area including the activities and everyone we encountered he greeted by name.I just spoke with Elain and we look forward to my parents living a healthy and long life there. .

The food choices at dinner are terrible and not tasty at all according to my parents.But it is a lovely place with wonderful staff!

Over the last month, it has been a nightmare for my Mom at the Amberleigh. First, I met with the Executive Director, Kristen and it was a very unpleasant atmosphere. She was very condescending and sarcastic. Then today was the topper, my Mom called to let me know that the cable isn’t working. I called to see if it was an outage issue, come to find out from calling Spectrum myself, the contract had expired for entire building and now I have to pay out of pocket so my Mom can have cable. This is truly unacceptable. How do you let this happen. This is part of the lease, that cable is provided. I’m now considering moving my Mom out. The only good news is that Kristen is leaving !!!

The staff was very accommodating and was able to have an apt ready for my Brother after he was ready to be discharged from Physical Rehab. His apt was very clean and had a great view of the courtyard. All staff members were very pleasant to deal with and very responsive. I dealt mostly with one of the lease managers (Joy Crawford) and she was very responsive and was able to send us all the documents we needed to complete electronically. Everything went very smoothly the day my Brother became a resident of THE AMBERLEIGH.
