Found a handful of glass within minutes of being there. If you dog likes to mill around and socialize this is a good park. Not great for exercising or playing fetch. Too many potential hazards. Owners seem to less attentive than other parks I visit. Cons: Glass, no grass mostly all dirt/dust ground coverage, not a ton of open space for playing fetch. Pros: shady, lots of trees, water spigots

Im reluctant to encourage people to come here. Its so nice. The pet owners seem considerate and conscientious. The shaded parking and tree fillied park make it really pleasant even in the summer heat.

So many puppies! Huge place for all dogs to run and have fun. Lots of toys for them too.

Nice, relatively dry dog park. The people who frequent Oakwood Dog Park are fairly well mannered, as are their dogs (one doesn't encounter many flair-ups between poorly socialized dogs, as can happen in other regional dog parks.)

No admission fee. Several in Raleigh without one...this is my favorite dog park in the area.
It's unlocked the times I've tried it
