Small quaint children’s zoo.
You can see everything in one hour.
There are just a few exhibits, multiple of which house the same species. However the price is fair, making this a nice spot to check out. Unless you have someone (kids primarily) to show it to, this is a one time zoo.

Wonderful trip not only for grandkids. My husband and I had great fun with the animals especially when fed gluttonous Lambs.

Nice & not crowded... We were visiting on Labor Day. Sea lions show was nice - a must see...
Comparing with our previous visit, looks like there is less animals than we saw before.
Please help Zebu!! His leg is bitten to blood by flies. He is all shaking. It's painful to see...
Plase call a vet!!
Yes they have a discovery trail with many different animals. Their indoor exhibits are not to be missed as well--baboons were so cute. A very nice zoo for kids indeed!
$8 to enter Prospect Park Zoo located at Prospect Park in the middle of Brooklyn. If you have a Wildlife Conservation Society membership, you go in for free
No. Not at present. Interaction with staff is contactless. You can order and pay by telephone or online. They send you an email with the tickets and scan them at the gate. I suspect the ppl who are claiming otherwise are merely giving their opinions. They don't want actual cash in an unsecured area or personal interaction in violation of covid 19 protocols.
When are feeding times? Is there a bird feeding session?

There is sea lion feeding/training at the prospect park zoo at 11:30am, 2:00pm, and 4:00pm.
You can feed birds and farm animals throughout the day. $0.50 will give you a small handful of feed at the farm animal (sheep, bulls, etc.) section and at the pond to feed the ducks and swans. It helps to have your own quarters. There is a coin machine at the farm area though. #kre8global
I don't think there is any day when it's free. 2 years & under it's free. For $210 a Family Zoos Plus Membership gives you unlimited access to the Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo, Queens Zoo, and Prospect Park Zoo for one year for 2 adults, up to 4 children, and a guest for one year
If you are asking about the IDNYC, you can get a WCS membership (zoo membership good at all three zooa) but you can only redeem at The Bronx Zoo. More info is available at the IDNYC website.
It depends on how busy or not it is. I went and did not make reservation in advance. There is a Q code you can scan at the entrance and purchase tickets. (No contact)
Yes, they're open to the public now. The indoor and outdoor exhibits are open now. You might have to purchase your tickets online and yes you have to pay full price.
Like everyone is saying no parking. But the alternate side street parking is pretty fair. Chances are you won't go to the zoo until alternate sides are over anyway...the hours are on the earlier side
Open to members only, I believe. I would call ahead
Is this place open today? From what time to what time ?

The zoo will be open on July 20 from 10am until 5:30 it will only be for members only until the 24 you must reserve a ticket on line and you have to pick a time to come to the zoo you can find all the info on prospectparkzoo.com
There is not a day to visit this zoo for free, to the best of my knowledge. However, you may obtain a "Culture Pass" if you have a library card from a public library which grants you free access to this, as well as several other museums and zoos in the five boroughs.

Is there a gift shop at prospect park zoo?

Yes, its small, but has snacks, souvenirs, and a few toys.
If you are asking about the park in general, it's free. The Zoo has a senior admission of $6.00 and I believe that General Amission is $8.00. There are a couple of other reduced rates for select groups.
For General Admission it looks like $22 adults, $21 seniors, and $15 children over 2 years old. Then it's $6 additional for special exhibits within the zoo
(like Bug Carousel, Butterfly Garden, Zoo Shuttle, Congo Gorilla Exhibit, etc.).
For the "Total Experience" tickets, which can be bought online in advance and includes admission to special exhibits, it's $37 adults, $32 seniors, and $27 children over 2 years old.
As of spring 2018.
"Pay-what-you-wish on Fridays from 3-3:30pm, during the fall, winter, and spring; in the summer, free Friday hours run from 4-5pm."
Thats in the New York Aquarium and Bronz Zoo -but I don't think it applies to this zoo.
Most exhibits mention that the animals shouldn't be fed, but the ones that are allowed to be fed have a pellet machine similar to the gumball quarter machine.
Its cost $8 for 13rys & older and ages 3-12 it cost $5. Children under 2yrs old are free. Money covers everything including petting area. Just make sure to have quarters for the petting area in case you want to feed the animals. They have little machines that you can purchase food to feed the animals for about .50 cents. Really fun for the kids. My 1yr old had a blast!
