Located between 116th and 117th streets on the uptown side of Frederick Douglas Blvd. (8th ave.),  this mom and pop hardware store is convenient for any small/normal items needed in regards to DIY projects/repairs/upgrades/renovations you may need to undertake (think painting plastering, flooring, etc.). For any questions you may have, John and his associates are very helpful and will point you in the right direction for what you need.

Very good store, you can find anything from tlapalería and hardware. The best thing is that they are attended by Mexicans so they will perfectly understand what you need.

Perfect local hardware store. Having visited my fair share of NYC hardware stores, of all shapes and sizes, this one is by and far my favorite. It's clean, organized, well stocked of the essentials. Employees were super helpful and accommodating. It's not large (if you're looking for a big box hardware store, you're in the wrong city) but it sure does have a lot for it's size. Other stores feel cramped, claustrophobic, disorganized, and one wrong move you will knock over a display. Being in this store was physically soothing as well as just having exactly what I needed (and the stuff they didn't have, they helped me with a work around). And can't wait to check out the United Garden Center close by. Hope it's as good as the Hardware store.
