They need to stop with raising the rates during winter. Just because they are the only power company the general population is obligated to pay these rates. Solar is the way to go!!!

Since October our energy bill has DOUBLED FOR NO REASON!! WE HAVE BEEN DOING EVERYTHING TO SAVE POWER AND DUKE STILL CONTINUES TO CHARGE US MORE THERE'S NO WAY YOUR BILL JUST DOUBLES WHILE YOU ACTIVELY ARE TRYING TO SAVE POWER ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CHEAPSKATES

Winter season Duke does raise the rates for all counties. I agree its pathetic way to rob a working man but only other option is to go solar. They provide majority of NC power unless in some city limits, the city makes the rates and do the same thing.
