Excellent animal welfare organization that trains the basics of understanding outdoor feral cats and colony management. I recommend the workshop for certification.

I am waiting for a class. So that I can help the neiborhood cats. I finally recieved my TNR certification 10/6/2020. Its been a challenge to get appointments to spay the neighborhood cats. But I wont give up have to put a stop to the breeding..

Questions & Answers

Hi there I was given two cats about 1 yr ago and they have multiplied I can no longer take care of them all is there a way for them to be picked up?

Contact a rescue group. Can you keep any? If you can keep one or two; I would advise to def. spay and neuter. It would keep them from multiplying and be more manageable. There are certificates for siscounted spay and neuter such as friends of animals and the aspca mobile. Good luck and don’t give up.

Do you guys visit neighborhoods for trapping strays cats? I would like to find help for them. Right now many have nowhere to go & housing threw out their box wbere food is kept. They need help really bad.

FCI gives free TNR Certification workshops to empower folks to get the cat population in their own neighborhoods under control. Certification entitles you to free spay/neuter and other services. Visit NYCferalcat.org for more info.

Who can we call for help when a cat is struck by a car and horribly injured? This happened on City Island yesterday when a cat was puposely run down in front of a school and horrified children and parents. No one would help.

Try bringing it to the nearest fire department or call 911 this is a felony to commit harm on an animal purposely

Do this the night before if using treats so it won’t be used against him why he can’t be neutered. No water or food after misnight the night before. Even a laser is good to get them in. Cats are smart so bring the crate up and leave it out for at least two days with the crate door open and jam it so it doesn’t close on him.
