Hotel was having a challenging day. Many hotels in the area were sold out. Their computer system went down, but the manager was sure they still had one or two rooms left. She advised me to go ahead and drive 40 minutes to her property, and that they would call me if anything changed. I proceeded to inform my friends (who were helping me to find emergency lodging) that I had found a place and they could go to sleep. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was informed that the computer system had displayed confusing or inaccurate information, and in fact, no rooms were available. In addition, because of the quickly developing situation, they had neglected to call me. I wish them the best in the process improvement journey.

Friendly staff, hotel clean but dated. Could not figure out how to change my room without charging me more. Stay at Marriots 75 plus nights year first time had to pay more for king bed when hotel was half empty.

Our stay was marked by good, old-fashioned hospitality and friendliness that the great American Middle West is known for. After an efficient mobile check-in as we approached the Fairfield Inn Richmond, we were greeted by a desk attendant who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and offered information to make us feel at home using the amenities. A welcome note from the housekeeper greeted us in our room. The breakfast bar attendant welcomed everyone who entered the dining area with a genuine smile and "good morning". Leaving the keys at the front desk as we left, the desk clerk was super efficient and offered a smile along with making sure all was good with our stay. We had a great experience in a warm, welcoming place with comfortable surroundings and great amenities. Thanks for hosting us!

I was traveling cross country and needed a break in my drive. Fairfield Inn Richmond was the perfect location for that - right off the highway. I had a welcoming check-in and check-out with staff members. I booked the whirlpool suite and I enjoyed relaxing in the whirlpool in my room after a long day of traveling. I then slept so comfortably in the bed and the dark curtains allowed me to sleep in late. The Paul Mitchell body products were a luxurious treat for my shower, which had one of the bowed shower curtain rods for extra space! Before the next leg of the journey, I was thankful for the continental breakfast. I was impressed by the spread - the egg and cheese omelets and hot Canadian bacon were delicious in addition to the standard fare of bagels, pasties, yogurt, fruit, and a waffle maker. I liked the option to make a breakfast burrito with tortillas, shredded cheese, and salsa. There were easy grab and go options too, which I took for a morning snack for my drive. The lobby coffee was fresh. The pool looked clean and inviting, though I did not have time for it on my visit. This location had butterscotch candies and Jolly Ranchers at the desk instead of mints and I took one of each as I was checking out.
