Don't know. Just call them. I adopted from them and because I'm a senior there was no cost but I made a donation to them.

Did Suki (i think thats her name)the Pit Bull get adopted? I have 2 dogs and live in Kansas, but if I could I would snatch her up in a "New York minute". I sure hope someone will say she now has a forever home!
Yes they do, you need to rent a trap to bring them, some days you need appmebt, but if not you bring them abd after two days i. Some cases you pick them up again.
Each animal is different. Call the place, choose a pet, they will quote you.
What's the adoption fee for kittens and are most of them spayed and neutered

I think it is either 45 or 75.all cats are neutered and alterd and all shots and given a microchip. The adoption time is ridiculous and they don't give it to you in all cases you do a meet and greet. They check references and you have to go up front and put your name on the list. They call all people on the list for meet and greet. You also need a cat carrier collar or they will deny you the cat.
Are there adoption fees for kittens

I do not believe there is. They work off of donations I'm fairly sure
If you surrender the dog, then you are surrendering the dog. They don't have to notify you of anything after that. That is the whole point of surrending the dog. Im sure you could leave your number and ask them to keep you updated on the dog, but they are a busy shelter.
What happens to an animal who was adopted from the shelter & is returned because because they are aggressive? Is there an attempt made for possible rehabilitated or are they euthanized?

It depends on the situation
Hi. I need to get some feral cats spayed. Can you guys help me?
Diane Knepple | Sep 23, 2019

Yes the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter does that for free. You just need to go there in person (without the feral cats first) and pick up a trap and release cage (small fee to borrow) and then you return home with the cage and then once you have the cat in the cage you may bring it to the Animal Shelter and they will get the cat spayed and then in about a few days you return to pick the cat back up so you can release the cat back where you picked it up. I believe only 3 feral cats may be taken in per household but you may double check that at the main counter at the Animal Shelter or by calling them to ask.
